I just saw the trade was vetoed.

Why? I didn't think it was unfair

i didnt vote on it, same as Mat i wouldnt trade Brown if i had him but i didnt think it was uneven

The only times I veto trades is if there has been a legit mistake (like Jay and Jukes earlier this year), there is collusion or it is so lopsided that it will affect the integrity of the comp. I thought it was uneven but not lopsided enough to veto. Sometimes you have to give up a bit extra to fill a position of need. It's the owners decision so I just generally let it fly.

Would like to hear from those who did veto it. Feel pretty dogged especially if it's for the wrong reasons
Mat can we get it put through anyway or is that the hard and fast rule?

Nope, there is no point of a veto system if I am going to ignore it.  The league has spoken, you would likely have to make some changes to get it through.

The obvious counter I would have made if I was Jay was to ask for Hopkins instead of Megatron.

If you can get a counter trade agreed upon by tonight I will put it up for veto in this thread, and use my commish powers to push it through for the Sunday if we have no issues, but otherwise it's a no go.
