i think he is going to be a very popular pick next year i plan on starting him in the mids or ruck

are you planning on starting him next year?

i know it's early obviously but meh i was bored and curious

jcuz001

he will be very pricey though

Jackross10

I'm just focusing on fielding 18 this week :) hahaha but he will be expensive and I don't think I will start him at this stage..

HotTiges

Be about 550+ .. I'd consider it. Very durable so far. Can he get better?

Maybe 2019, reckon when Grundy goes down with a knee injury in 2019 early that Blicavs (now at Collingwood) will prove great value for money

Blicavs for Brownlow 2016....!!

Probably end up being the highest polling Cat for 2015 if he keeps up his current form.

Capper

I dont know if i would start him, depend on his price. Would definitely get him if he is around $500k and dpp

Nah this is his year, by next season opponents will have worked out a plan to better deal with his third man up ruck taps boosting his scores now. Still a massive find for the Cats and what a year he is having so exciting to watch a 6''8 ruck-rover lol he has beaten some quality opponents in Pendles and Wines just off the top of my head and a few more this season.

Yeh I can see them changing the rules regarding 3rd man up over the off-season

Will be too expensive anyway imo

If they don't change the rules? He's a unique case, there is no one else that can run like this guy. He's a midfielder and next year he will still be a midfielder. Remember how we pick forwards that are fwd/mids because they score so well? Ruck/mid is no different. LOCK

Why would they change the rules? Players have been going third man up for years....

Just because a tall man who happens to be hugely athletic starts going third up....?

It's not like they've found a loophole in a rule or anything they juat have the ability to do it so are doing it more often than anyone else....

It would be in regards to the rucks wrestling and a third man going up uninhibited. So the answer to your question is kind of yes, Blicavs being the third man up seems a little "unfair" compared to a short bloke going up. (I don't agree with that, good on Geelong, but I think that is the general feeling)

If they don't change the rules? Then as I said, he will be too expensive and I won't start him. Rarely do players back up breakout performances the next year. A lot of water to go under the bridge yet though, as kb said it is still early to be thinking about next year

I don't necessarily have a problem with going third up, just with the blocking of the opposition ruckman which often enables it

Yeah will be a solid pick, just not sure if he fits my 2016 bye structure..
