Ward v Treloar v Shiel

Looking to get rid of Rocky for one of these GWS boys.

Ward: started season at $606k, now down to $554k. Big score last week of 175 due to a massive 12 tackles. 7 out of 10 scores over 100 (incl a 99) with 3 over 130. Other 3 in the 80's which is a concern? 10th best scorer in supercoach after 10 rounds

Treloar: started season at $577k, now down to $520k. 6 out of 10 scores over 100, with a 120, 139 and 157. Appears to beat up on shower teams with those scores against Saints, Blues and Lions. Other 4 scores incl 2 x 90's, 1 x 80 and a 48 which is a worry. With the run home involving some 'softer' teams he could be a good pick

Shiel: talk of the town early in season, but last 2 weeks below 100 (mind you he still got 90's). Before last 2 weeks he had 7/8 100's with 5 of them above 119. There was a 52 in there vs the Swans but he's been bloody consistent

(Shiel added when poll had Ward (3) v Treloar (0).

Thoughts?

It really is a dead heat, if you take into account current price.

I have both but maybe the cheaper player might allow you to invest the 30k elsewhere?

Treloar does beat up lesser sides a bit more.

If you like consistency then get ward. Tree will go low occasionally.

If money isnt a bother then get Ward..just

I bought Treloar into my team after round 1 when Rocky went down with his injury and I think I got sucked in by his 157 round 1 score to be honest. Not saying I haven't been happy with him, just think he can be inconsistent at times. So that's why I voted for Ward on your poll, just think he is more consistent and that's the way I would go if I had my time again.

No don't have shiel, but his last 2 'lowish' weeks have him at a BE of 130. Should drop by $10k to $530k next week so possibly look at then. Would you take Ward over Shiel?

yeah probably still would although bye would def help both.surely shiel will just fade a tad later on..Ward in his prime although i could be getting seduced by last week's monster score!

Would take Ward. His low games haven't been that bad compared to most other premiums this year. Safest bet for a 110+ year.

I already had him, and chose Treloar over Shiel this week. I think he'll have some big games to make sure he goes 110 from here, he had plenty of opportunities to do so. I know he isn't proven, but he has an extra year on Shiel. Not that I think Shiel will drop off, but I don't want to risk it.

Ive had Shiel for most of the year - just love him and tipped him to breakout preseason

What I've noticed is that he pretty much gets to 60+ at 1/2 time every week, but seems to slow down a bit in the second halves

That being said I love having him. Shiel and Ward a coin flip then Treloar not too far behind at all

It was either Shiel or Sloane for GAJ after rd 2 for me.... Think I made the right choice with Shiel :)

But I think the three of them will fluctuate, you tag one the others go nuts!

Yep, I also went Ablett to Shiel. Shiel has always been a huge possession winner even in the juniors
