He's worth $260k when traded out to Hamling/ Pearce...
not averaging enough to be anything other than useful cover...may as well trade to a rookie who can do the same or use the cash to get a premium.
Can see why some may keep him but I'm not.

Frozensage

him to brodie... money + similar scoring + bye coverage + brodie can go big.

saad-hodge next week

PICCOLLO

Worth keeping as a d7 with m/d link.
Id keep an eye on brodie smith at his price though.

Jezza249

would it be worth to keep him as a m9 or waste a trade and bring griff in

Frozensage

Seems more consistent than oxley. Will trade oxley out next week after another price rise this week hopefully. In comes hodge.

If newnes goes bad again do we look at upgrading him over saad?

I'm thinking Newnes / McKenz will be a good option for cover at end of year

RaisyDaisy

Was going to upgrade him to Hodge next week, but might look at keeping him as D6 and using that money elsewhere.

What I love about Saad is his consistency. Rarely ever goes below 70 and scores well every week. Reliable

Mat0369

The only issue with Saad is if the injuries start taking their toll. He is getting battered and it is only his first season of AFL footy. I love the way he plays though and he is one tough SOB with a lot of heart

Yeah this is the question, would love to be able to turn Newnes and Saad into Houli and Hodge but I don't think I'll have the luxury.

If I had to make a choice right now it would be keep Saad, trade Newnes but I won't be making a decision until rd 14 so they have a few more games to prove their worth.

After today's effort, slightly injured in Q1, comes back out and scores a 96, very reliable I'm thinking the same.

About R5 or R6 I was gunna upgrade defense to a so-called "premium" thinking Rance, Simpson or T Mac, but looking at there scores for the last few weeks (Simpson with the calf), starting to realize there is no such beast (a reliable prem defender)

My plans were to trade 1 or both of Oxley and Saad, but after Oxley's performance, 122 against Melbourne and Saad today, if I can scrape through next week with 18 players and save trades, I will.

Also have Dan McKenzie who may not play again for awhile with a healthy Saint's list.

This has been one fascinating, crazy SC year !!!

I'm personally going to keep him for the year and keep him as my mid/def emergency for any outs. Yes it's a fair bit of money to have on the bench although I think he will make a big difference covering players instead of playing a Hamling, Glenn, Boston type.
i agree,  just need to decide if i throw next weeks match.   even with three trades best i can do is 17 and thats with clark.  good chance of 16 or 15 starters.      guaranteed to make finals in cash league and 5999 in overall.      aiming for top 2500 at years end.

is it ok to toss games/rounds?
