So the first bye round this week, may be a chance for myself to achieve a semi-respectable ranking, having my worst year since starting  ranked 4862, have gone down in rank every week since round 2 with 8 injury trades along the way, enough of that, trades for this week?
Thinking Krak -> Boston
Adams (pending update) -> Selwood

and seriously considering slotting NRoo in for Miller, bottomed out at 448 after his concussed 26, gone 87 108 94 102 108 in his other games and has Melbourne, WB, Essendon, GWS, Richmond and Melbourne again over the next 6 games...unnecessary risk I know but love a POD

I am thinking of doing some prep for future rounds this week with my trades.

I am sick of Bellcho and considering he is likely to get dropped anyway I am looking at Bellcho to Martin (already have Goldy and have been eyeing him off for a month now). I will need some cash after I blow a fair chunk of change making that move so I think Ellis-Yolmen>Dumont and Clark to Brooksby are also winners if they are named.

Next week I am thinking of making another two downgrades and then I can finally bring in Armo and Sidebottom the week after. If I have a bit of cash to spare I might look at a defender as well although I am thinking Mackie could be a good option.

May go Naismith to Brooksby for R3 cover.

Have 21 on field this week if Bont and McKenzie fit and $650k for upgrades for to remaining bye rounds

Going to be opening up the piggy bank this week and will be making 3 trades. Rookies have done quite well but it is time to move them on. In light of this my trades this week will be CEY --> Ward, Miller-->Selwood and Naismith --> Brooskby. I have quite an emphasis here on getting some round 13 players in, as I am quite stacked in the other two rounds. Ward has been quite good this year and is one of the few mid premiums with a round 13 bye that I would be comfortable trading to. Selwood has had quite a poor start to the year but has a bit of a history with his and finishing the year incredibly strong. Priced under 490k I think he presents quite a bargain and I have no problems moving Miller who I think has peaked in price to him. Bringing in Brooskby not only generates me a bit of cash ($78k) but should he continue to get a game, he will allow me to avoid donuts in the future if Jacobs or Goldy get rested. This could be invaluable come league finals

Honestly have no idea at this stage, but have 374k to play with so might do two upgrades and one downgrade

Sums up my thoughts :-\

Wanted to hold trades this week but thanks to Krakouer and Clark's absence I only have 18 playing this week and that's only if Glenn and McKenzie get up. Also includes Amon and N Brown in that 18 so not looking promising this week.

Problem is anyone I bring in this week is going to be a 0 at some stage over the next 3 weeks :-\

why are people trading 3 people this week...what a waste.

Maximising scoring potential - if you have your team set up fine then why not trade?

Rocky, Rich and TBC out for Ebert, Gaff and Boston.

I am setting up my next few rounds by trading this week.

I have made three trades, two downgrades and one upgrade. What this has basically done is leave me with a chunk of change to use over the next few rounds (357k) while only having to complete 4 more upgrades (5 if you count Iboo)

similar philosophy with me
basically cashing in on Belly/Krak/Saad and getting 2 rooks and a premo (and 200k spare)
which will allow me to get in Hodge, Hamling and Jelwood/Sloane in rd12
it'll plunge me down to 10 trades remaining, but when you'll have 18 "keepers", (NOT including Tadams and Neale in that) then there's no issues

Mat0369

Yup, if I can finish my team just after the byes and have 6 injury trades I'll be happy

My team is looking like this currently (post trades)

Hodge, Simmo, Shaw, Taylor, Ibbo, KMac, Brown, McKenzie
Steven, Lewis, Pendles, Ebert, HeppD, Gray, Cripps, Saad, Dumont, Amon, Boston
Martin, Goldy, Brooksby
Swan, Martin, Dahl, Motlop, TMitch, Hogan, Krak, Read

Downgrade Krak and maybe Brown next week and then I need to try and turn KMac, Saad, Cripps and Hogan into 1 defensive premo and 3 mids. If I don't use my three trades this week I might be slightly screwed.

Fixing bye structure, jumping on rookies on the bubble, upgrading rookies to get more points, etc

but if you have a completed side, then you're not going to burn through the trades

my intention is to have a virtually completed side (18 keepers, with Tadams F6 and Neale M7) after my rd13 efforts - but I'll have 7 trades remaining (using 9 trades over the byes, 5 downgrades, 4 upgrades)

then what'll be the point in trading? unless your draw-trading for finals (or injuries)

edit: for the record, that side will look like
Hodge, Yeo, H Shaw, Everitt, Newnes, Hibberd (Savage, Hamling)
Lewis, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Priddis, Parker, Sloane, Neale, Kavanagh (Boston, McKenzie, throwaway FM)
Mumford, Maric (Brooksby)
R Gray, Dahlhaus, Deledio, D Martin, Ziebell, Adams (Hogan, O'Brien)
