Proposed Rule Changes for season 2016

1. 50 Bonus points for posting your players/team score to be scrapped ?

2. New Rule 2016: Teams to submit a default team (Preference List) leading up to the start of the 2016 season

(preference lists will be used if a coach failed to submit a team for round 1, they will also be used if a coach has informed admin of their absence prior to weekend games and failed to submit a team)

4. Do we want to keep Rookie Lists ?

5. Do we want to keep 2 emergencies in team submission or just have 4 interchange players ?

I reckon get rid of the rookie lists and also don't think we need the 2 extra emergencies either
A default/preference team list/best XVIII is a good idea.

At the time i liked the idea of a rookie list but now i think its just extra crap to worry about. I reckon just play whoever you want. With the 2 emergency positions rules start to get a little complicated so i would be in favour of no emergencies.

We are scrapping rook lists in BXV next year as well,AFL teams barely have them now anyway.

Reduce it down to 20 and do not have it for finals next year.

Happy if emergencies scrapped.

Can do without rookie list. Just need to trade well.

Default team - even if out of date is better than no score. Can default team be updated at all. Eg At Rd 7 and 14 ?

I don't think we should be able to do that.
Once it's named should be that way all season,it would just get confusing and make more work for the admin.

Default team is a good idea

I kind of like the rookie list, just adds that extra to think about, especially at trade and draft times. Making sure you have spots on your lists, having enough draft picks to upgrade rookies etc.

Not fussed either way though.

They could be changed T Dog but like LF says its a bit more work trying to update those lists all the time. If someone is injured we should notice and put the next player named, so you wouldn't be punished for having injured players named high on your list if that was a concern. These lists will only be used if you don't name a team remember.

I agree with all proposed changes, though I also agree with T Dog, possibly allocating rds where teams can update there preferences? This season alone I had a lot of changes compared to the lineup at the start of the season due to breakouts in Blicavs and Cripps for example. I'm sure other teams would've had similar outcomes with players improving, and others dropping off...

Maybe over the byes and after the midseason draft we can update lists?

Yeah okay over the bye period (USA vs All Stars) we can have an update of our preference lists.

They only get used if you fail to name a team and im hoping this doesn't happen very often.

Just so everyone knows how the preference lists will be used.

I will only be using preference lists if one of the reasons below happen. If you fail to submit a team without informing admin you will receive the previous weeks team.

* Preference lists will be used if a coach failed to submit a team for round 1, we had problems with this last year.

* They will also be used if a coach has informed admin of their absence prior to weekend games and failed to submit a team (we will try to select the best team possible using the preference lists while taking injury into consideration)

* If a coach was to go awol then we would use these lists to make a team from week to week until a new coach was found.
