I feel the previous points system was better than the current 'whatever we feel like politically' approach.

It wasn't perfect (no system would be), but feel a lot of people just didn't understand it (particularly the being suspended for a small thing because of carry over points, or the escaping suspension but still being eligible for Brownlow)
