Sideways trade Jack Martin (GCS) to Buddy Franklin

Is it worth considering a sideways trade to get Buddy this week.

Jack Martin (GCS) - $386,900 with a 88 B/E (Round 12 bye)

Buddy Franklin (Syd) - $447,100 with a 100 B/E (Round 11 bye)

I currently have $122,000 available so can do a straight swap, or wait until Sydney' round 11 bye and trade in round 12 hoping both players don't move in price too much.

Was hoping he'd get more time in the middle but hasn't really worked out this year.....ah well

Are you looking at Buddy's scoring this year or historically?

I would look elsewhere.

Buddy is 31st ranked fwd by averages and hasn't had a sub or injury.

And if you take out Martin's game where he was subbed at half time his average is 96.25.

Don't mind this trade.  Franklin will average close to 100 for the year and you're getting him at a low.  Could go big tonight too

Sydney have the Round 12 bye as well. Not sure why you thought they had round 11.

Either way though personally I think there are at least 6 better fwds than Franklin this year so I would be passing and looking elsewhere.

Agree. I think JMart to Buddy is probably an upgrade, and Buddy could go huge after a couple of quiet weeks against a depleted and terrible blues outfit, but I would rather others in the long term.

I have dahl already, Lids is too injury prone.....Will consider Goddard but im mindful off too many bombers as I already have Hibberd, Bellchambers and Heppell.

My last gun forward i was reserving for Gray when he drops a little in price

He's carrying an issue which should be fine if he's managed properly, and that doesn't mean him missing games. No better/worse than Buddy's knee, so if you're worried about Lids missing games I'd say you've got more of a worry with Buddy when you look at their history...

Before last year, 2007 is the last time Buddy played more games than Lids. And last year Buddy played 19 to Lids 18.

Im getting buddy, His average at the moment is about 10ppg off his long term average, id bet that hell be up around the 100-105 mark at years end.  That means hell have to average around 110-20ppg for the rest of the season. which i think he can start by getting 300 pts against carlton tonight ;)
