5 years. 5 long years I've been doing this and all I've got out of it is a HoF induction, lots of appreciation, some satisfaction, and a bit of fun. Actually, that's not half bad! Now if only someone would pay me... ;)

I'm back again! For those new to the forums, each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week.

Took a long while to get it up this week but it's not like the number one wasn't obvious. Read on if you need any further convincing to lock in Lewis.

The thoughts:

J.P. Kennedy
JPK is in pretty good form and Carlton suck. However, it's practically certain he'll cop a tag this week. I don't think it'll matter with Sydney looking certain for a massive win. With no Judd, Murphy, or Gibbs to win the ball for the Blues, watch Kennedy rack it up. Prediction - 120

Parker
Less likely to get a tag and will enjoy the dominance as much as his midfield comrade. Prediction - 125

Hannebery
Again, gets to smash the Blues but will surely be tagged. Prediction - 110

Lewis
Biggest lock of the year so far. The Suns absolutely suck and Lewis is amazing. His record against them is already good and he loves it down in Tassie. Prediction - 140

Hodge
Perfect week for him to return! If you have him in your backline, you'll enjoy him smashing the hapless Suns. Prediction - 130

I. Smith
Yet another likely beneficiary of the inevitable slaughter in Tassie. Prediction - 120

Gray
Don't captain people in Darwin. Just don't. It's dangerous. Gray is in great form though which is very helpful. Prediction - 100

Boyd
If you're looking to bring in a premium back this week (and can't get Hodge for whatever reason), this will be your guy. Don't expect anything massive against the in-form Giants but signs point to something solid. Prediction - 100

Treloar
Still a bit too up and down to be a consistent option but I like him at Etihad and I like his form. Prediction - 110

Deledio
I love his form right now and he could step up in a big Dreamtime game. Prediction - 115

Ellis
Very good against the Bombers and in form. Quality roughie this week. Prediction - 120

Heppell
Questionable form but I like him this week, particularly at the G. Prediction - 110

Fyfe
Consistently gets you a ton and will surely get another this week. Prediction - 110

Mundy
Bounced right back last week and will continue his good season against the fairly average Crows. Prediction - 105

Rockliff
Guess who's back.
Back again.
Rocky's back.
Trade him in.
Prediction - 120

Beams
Still too inconsistent for me to seriously consider and I definitely fear a tag. However, his record against the Saints is really likeable so he has to be considered. Prediction - 120

Armitage
A bit quieter the last two weeks but still scoring tons so still a legitimate option. Prediction - 105

Steven
Last week was amazing and there's every chance he backs it up. There's also every chance he doesn't. Should ton though. Prediction - 105

Pendlebury
I thought he was injured and I was very, very wrong. Last week was big, North are giving up plenty, and Pendles loves to smash the Roos. If the Hawks weren't playing the Suns, he might be my number one. Prediction - 135

Swan
Another Magpie that likes to play the Roos. Expect his last two weeks of good form to continue. Prediction - 125

Sidebottom
Sidebum hasn't missed a beat and will be the third Pie to do well against the Roos this week. They bleed points and Steele will take advantage. Prediction - 125

Priddis
Great recent form but usually very poor against the Cats. I wouldn't go there this week. Prediction - 90

Selwood
His form this year is too bad to consider. Which is unfortunate because Jelwood likes carving it up against the Eagles and is happy to do it in Perth. Prediction - 105

LAHUG'S ROUGHIE OF THE WEEK!

Loving writing this each week but, be warned, it's very hit and miss. I'll talk about someone that, partly because of stats and mostly because of gut feeling, I think will go huge this week. It'll usually be somebody that you wouldn't usually give the C to but, if you have him and are feeling brave, might be worth a look.

Franklin
Last 3: 46, 108, 86 (80 avg)
Last 3 against Carlton: 114, 88, 115 (106 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 80, 117, 157 (118 avg)

Buddy can go HUGE and when better to do it than against half a football team? He already has a solid record against the Blues and can score big at the SCG. 10 goals, anyone? Wild prediction - 160

LAHUG'S POTATO FORECAST!

Added this last week and hit the nail on the head with our struggling ruck premo. Time for a midfielder, I think. Basically, I'll highlight a premium that is probably in plenty of teams but is both down on form and has some terrible history against this week's opponent. Get ready for a shocker of a score!

Thompson
Last 3: 61, 117, 65 (81 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 82, 92, 87 (87 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 117, 102, 115 (111 avg)

Scotty Thompson has been a bit up and down after a strong start to the season, but Fremantle's ridiculous form and his poor record against them make me think his downs will be continuing this week. Two 60s in his last three and he may be due for another one. Spudiction - 68

The verdict:
1.   Lewis (140)
2.   Pendlebury (135)
3.   Hodge (130)
4.   Parker (125)
5.   Swan (125)
6.   Sidebottom (125)
7.   Beams (120)
8.   Rockliff (120)
9.   I. Smith (120)
10.   Ellis (120)

Took a while this week but I got there. As an apology for being so late, I gave you guys a top 10 instead of a top 5. Woo! Extra people to choose from!

Ricochet

Gotta be Lewis against that GC side, lock him in

timmyparso

I'm excited for my RDT side, I have 7 of the top 10 including all the top 5!!! Lewis still the clear captain choice though.

(I've probably just jinxed my team now.. :-\)

Thunderbolts

I only have 3... might explain why I'm doing so poorly this year.

Rico, I'll try to have a look this afternoon. Meant to be working but could sneakily squeeze it in ;)

LaHug

Only just remembered.

Barlow
Last 3: 124, 79, 92 (98 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 109, 97, 118 (108 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 88 (88 avg)

Pretty decent but nothing special against the Crows. Way too risky to back but would think a ton. Prediction - 105
