I just can't see why he is even being talked about.  ???

With Libba and Clay Smith gone, Wallis is the number 1 in-and-under mid at the dogs, so if he's left to play that role, there's nothing to suggest he'll average below 100. If that's enough to pick him at his price is another matter though...

Well happy to disagree fellas and compelling arguments against.

61 games and never scored higher than 115.

Is a tagger in a team likely to miss finals.

Averaging 77 and is not a keeper in any form of the game at the moment.

Lots of other players with as much going for them not being talked about.

Enjoy.

Honestly, guys like Jock Reynolds throw these names around pre-season and during the season as smokies and good stepping stones ect ect, in their defense they do warn people but the names mentioned by so call SC experts stay in peoples minds and when they have a few decent games ect people start talking on all the forums/sites...and it's all bs just like starting D.Rich maybe they make u 50k..but we all see how much a 200k+ rookie needs to score to increase value a lot let alone a 300k+ guy.

You realise one of his games was injury affected and he scores about 4?
He certainly wasn't a tagger last game. Watched him very closely.
He is averagng 100 already taking out that game.
What other players then?

petefisker

I always start a smokie each year and I started Wallis this year.
he was averaging 105 after the first 2 games then went out injured the same week as Bartel.
Now that there are no real rookie options.. am i stupid to bring him back in?
Doggies have an amazing run over the next 8 rounds.
just dont know..

He is a keeper. M9 or M10. This aint the start of the season. He already averages 100 take out the injured game.

I will admit from the outset that I can't afford Foxtel so haven't seen a lot of him but ave of 92 in his non injury affected 4 games in which this site (may be incorrect I guess) has him with a little tagging icon next to him.

If you think grabbing a mid priced non keeper is a good idea then go for it.

I would prefer a rookie and the $200,000 which can make Cripps into Lewis or something.

He got 15 not 4. And without that he's averaging 92 not 100.
Just an awkward average for an awkwardly priced player. No thanks

100 in mids is no mans land....and who has the trades spare to be planing M9's and M10's now? not every guy who improves his score by 10-15 point is a winner, 65-80 point guy (not a winner) 100-115 point guy...thats a winner. Nothing wrong with taking a punt on guys like Wallis at the start of the year...but with all the injury trades most people have copped absolutely no room for more mid priced sideways trading imho.

I would if it suits. Others have their opinion but just go with your gut like me.

Am joking too when I say I'm not picking him, as I have every intention of getting him.

I think he's a great pick and allows me to field a fairly strong midfield - Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Rocky, Danger, Lewis, Steven, Wallis

When he maxes out (after his bye at around $450k-$500k) will look to offload him to Sloane who will be of the same price or cheaper (currently $513k with a 215 BE)

Will sideways Steven to Sidey when the saints start hitting some good teams, and look to bring in Jelwood as my M9 (Lonie, Tarrant, Clark, Krak, Lumumba on my bench etc so plenty of cash to upgrade later on)

Hoping to have Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Rocky, Sidebottom, Lewis, Danger, Jelwood, Sloane by the end of the year.

Does it seem silly to make $100k to rise in cash $150-175k and get to a premium? 3 trades, $250k, a good scoring M8 and 2 premiums when there's no good rookies I like.. I'll take it.

I think if you bring Wallis you have to keep him.
Too little trades to do sideways. I doubt you'd finish you're team off the way you want.

What average do you have him at over the next 2 games to see him go from 325k to 450k-500k? he would need to score like 250 points per game.....Bulldogs do have a decent draw coming up but SC gold has his projected price rise of 20k lets say he gets 110 and 115 in the next 2 games he still won't be near 450-500k  after R11 byes?
