Dublin Dispatch Brewers in Style

I guess it would be fitting that, the two highest scoring teams produce the highest scoring game of the round. We all knew last weeks performance from Dublin was once in 4 blue moons, no more than I, who still continue to stew about posting 169 last week against New Delhi, the same time Dublin scored 133. Sigh. I go to lose my 4th match where I've scored 140+. flower this game. Dublin the much better team.

Suns scorch Black Jaguars into Charcoal Jaguars

Today, Mexico city scored their 477th point in 3 weeks. We all know they're back, so I guess now we are in the stage of cowering in fear, and for Dublin, a tensing of the brow. Jaguars would accept this loss, but would not accept their performance, which needs to be better to continue an unlikely charge towards the finals.

Mexico City Suns (25.11.161) def Rio de Janeiro Jaguars (19.7.121)

but hey, Rhineland are on a winning streak

YES! I forgot to mention that! I was so gonna mention that, but then I totally forgot.

So take that Dublin! Rhineland have two wins for the season, and both in consecutive weeks  :P

we havent got cap space to compete in that comp. I had to dump it all.

Spetsnaz add Thunder to Executions

Moscow have arrived, most certainly. The last month for the Spetsnaz has well and truly shown that they are at the top tier of teams, and really may even be a dark horse for the flag? The Thunder have hit a bit of a wall at the moment, with this score, along with last weeks 130, starting to concern its supporters of whether they can make the finals.

Should take a look at Mexico City's reserves this week too  :-X

Too good Moscow!

It's a bit concerning that we've hit a bit of a wall at the moment but at the same time I think we exceeded expectations at the start of the season and are crashing back to earth a bit at the moment. Not writing the season off by any means, we just need all of our players to put in a solid performance if we're to challenge these better teams.

Revolution send Wolves into Submission

This would be a welcome return to form for the Revolution, and also their highest score for the season. Despite missing stars in Duncan and Liberatore, it was New York's bookends that smashed the Wolves, whom seem a like a shadow of the Round 2-6 selves at the moment.

New York Revolution (24.9.153) def Toronto Wolves (20.9.129)

Best
New York: Heath Shaw, Josh Gibson, Leigh Montagna, Mike Pyke, Josh J Kennedy, Jarrad Waite

Saints no Salvation for Tired Islanders

I feel like teams listen to what I say sometimes... Christchurch have responded to my brief doubt about them; posting their first 150+ score of the season. Whereas the Islanders, funnily enough similar to its fellow improver in Beijing, also seem to have hit a bit of a wall, with their scores getting worse each week since Round 5. This is also the Islanders 3rd loss in a row, and face a crucial match-up next week against the Wolves.

Pacific Islanders (20.8.128) lost to Christchurch Saints (24.8.152)

Best
Pacific: Rory Laird, Alex Fasolo

Proof that Reindeers are scarier than Tigers...

Another good bordering on great performance by the Reindeers, whom only decided to inflict New Delhi's 4th highest opposition score so far this year. New Delhi would be encouraged from now starting to regularly field a traditional XV, and their third 1000+ plus score in succession.

PNL Reindeers (23.10.148) def New Delhi Tigers (17.8.110)

Best
PNL: Luke Hodge, Matt Priddis, Dane Swan, Justin Westhoff, Mitch Hallahan

roo boys!

Deplorable score again...Wolves really reeling at the minute.

At least it wasn't the backline that let me down this time, finally producing a very respectful score between them. Big game next week!

Seoul finally show some Soul!

I called it, I bloomin called it!

Quote from: Purple 77 on May 26, 2015, 10:00:17 PM
The Magpies have a great midfield btw, and all it would take is for all of them to fire at once (which I'm surprised they haven't already this year) and then all of a sudden you'll find Seoul scoring 140+ IMO. You know what? London beat Dublin last week. But they'll lose to Seoul this week.

Yes, the team that beat 1st last week, has lost against 15th the next week. It's always been my criticism of London, despite the overall quality of their team. But they also would be peeved that Seoul not only scored their highest score of their season, but it was 200 points above their season average. Some... soul... searching from London ensues.
