Hmm, I think the amount of attention he will be getting, whether or not it's just a hard tag from one player, is pretty concerning..

Opponents won't put a lot of effort into Stevie J any more as they have in other years.

Bartel (when he gets back) and Kelly aren't going to damage many sides either.

His partner in crime Duncan is out for majority of the season.

He's pretty much the only Cat's midfielder that can win a game for them. I just can't see him averaging more than 105 for the rest of the season. I dunno!

Hit the nail on the head, as i have said in another thread no Stevie J taking the tag of off him half the time has impacted him + those huge scores he use to get from game winning actions don't scale as high under new rules. He will not make top 10 mids even if we are only counting from here on out....

Yeah I think you're right too!

Who do you think personally will be the top 10 from here?

From here, if he can average 110+, there's no real reason you wouldn't bring him in at this price.

I am so happy I didn't start Joel Selwood this year, as previously he is one of my first selected.

Robbie Gray and Ollie Wines are just killing it so far.

Who knows, maybe Pendles will miss automatic selection next year for my side.

I think he's playing OK, but lost his support crew (Bartel, Duncan, Varcoe and Christensen)

MC

Starting to shower me! Will likely rot at M8/9 at this rate... such a disappointment. Definitely not worth trading as he will dominate the week I do

Big Mac

Looking at his stats compared to last year, he's averaging 2 less disposals per game, 2 less marks, 8% less DE and an extra clanger

So he's playing worse - but to drop 30ppg? It doesn't make sense

Seriously considering trading him to Sloane before his bye

HotTiges

Seems to a changing of the guard in terms of Supercoach.

Hahahahahaha!

Averaging what, 114 in a bad year?

Ended up getting him in to save some cash. Not the best start, but hopefully he'll bounce back

So we can safely say if he doesn't score well against the Dess he is well and truly cooked for this season.

Jimmykidd

Clearly not impacting games like he used to in previous years. Wasn't there some rule change about that this year? Received more points for impacting games or some such.

Anyway, staying well clear this year. Gone from a PB year to one of his worst since he started. What a change. Biggest surprise of the year.

Diesels Pups

Had him from the start, and what can I say but disappointing. If I remember correctly killed it in the bottom half of the year last year for me  so was one of my first picked this year. Ah well, not using a trade to get him out  so just gunna roll with the punches.

Jroo

He said himself that he's trying to give the younger blokes more of a go, which means a lesser role for himself.

Would be interesting to see a stat for centre bounces he attends.

Decided to start him this year, been a shocker so far but I'm confident he comes good.

RaisyDaisy

Just need to realise that he is a M8 player this year, not a M1-4 like we expect

As long as I can get my other 7 pumping out 100+ it should be fine, but it's def frustrating no doubt

Gotta say that this thread is getting some legs.  He isn't the player he has been in past years.  It's got to the point where I can't see myself getting him in
