I tell you what, Ollie Wines is really interesting me and I don't know why

Must be his name, but Im heavily considering! Only doubt I have is that it's only his third year of footy, surely he can't be this good at this age?

I'm way behind you He is my pod from your team - don't pick him

Disclaimers: absolute lock for my side in 2016 as well ... And so will crouch and we haven't seen him play this season yet

Holden the ball

is this the week to jump on selwood?

Frozensage

Looked pretty rubbish even last weekend. Dunno how he got 120+

The Elephant in the room thread is all about Selwood, but i do prefer your title clearly named player discussion thread.
won't go up much this week even if he scores 110-120 with a BE of 91 so wait another week would be my advice.

Has been struggling to get any uncontested ball in recent weeks, likely due to being unable to shake a tag. In some cases it does seem like he would rather fight his tagger than play footy though...
Had a solid dt:sc ratio for the whole game (due to his contested ball winning), on about 75 at 3qt before he started dominating in q4. Considering that Essendon played as well as a bunch of witches hats it's hardly a performance that inspires confidence that he has returned to his form of the last few years.

Big Mac

Hope he goes massive one of these weeks and turns his average into something respectable

Still waiting Jelwood!

Up to this point these are the tags:

1: 69 Hawthorn
2: 110 Freo
3: 154 Suns
4: Bastinac
5: Grigg
6: Crisp
7: McGlynn
8: Curnow
9: 79 Eagles
10: 122 Bombers

Here on out:

11: - Port
12: Vince?
14: - Adelaide
15: Bastinac?
16: Wallis?
17: Coniglio?
18: ZOB?
19: McGlynn?
20: - Hawks
21: Weller?
22: Macaffer?
23: - Adelaide

He's actually done pretty well when let free.  The Eagles game could be put down to coming off 5 weeks straight of being tagged (and straight off Curnow).  Never was going to score well against the Hawks and Freo. But the tags he has ahead of him are still a challlenge.  Maybe if someone in the Cats midfield actually stepped up it wouldn't be an issue.

He does have a very dynamic name with a hint of gentleman about it!

Hmm, I think the amount of attention he will be getting, whether or not it's just a hard tag from one player, is pretty concerning..

Opponents won't put a lot of effort into Stevie J any more as they have in other years.

Bartel (when he gets back) and Kelly aren't going to damage many sides either.

His partner in crime Duncan is out for majority of the season.

He's pretty much the only Cat's midfielder that can win a game for them. I just can't see him averaging more than 105 for the rest of the season. I dunno!

Money Shot

Yeah I have slightly regretted getting Selwood this season. Been putting out to many average scorers with only 1 or two huge ones.

Jimmykidd

Not yet! Have not seen enough

Hit the nail on the head, as i have said in another thread no Stevie J taking the tag of off him half the time has impacted him + those huge scores he use to get from game winning actions don't scale as high under new rules. He will not make top 10 mids even if we are only counting from here on out....

Thewizz71

Just wondering, any difference when bartel comes back?

Yeah I think you're right too!

Who do you think personally will be the top 10 from here?
