I love Joel Selwood, to me he's the epitome of what it means to be a super tough, yet fair, footballer. And there are brilliant taggers in the game, players who are fair and do their job whilst remaining within the rules and spirit in which the game is meant to be played - Kane Cornes comes to mind.   I'm not a Geelong supporter and really only care about Geelong players who are in my SC team, but I turned off last night's game with a bitter taste in my mouth.  Selwood deserved better. As for Ed, well, a lot of that stuff was not within the rules and spirit of the game - my opinion only.  And, I'll be surprised if those two umps get a game next week.

I still don't have Fyfe and it kills me to think for 8k more I could have started Fyfe over Selwood but instead chose the bloke with that 110+ average for the last 6 seasons. I said Simpson is on the never again list after missing those games and bang he delivered. Dear Joel, You are on the never again list.

I said a couple weeks back when he injured the hand that it gave me a good excuse to trade him out. He doesn't seem to be anywhere near top 10 at the moment, I am seriously contemplating holding him until the end of his bye and then dumping him for one of the round 12 guys come round 13. I haven't made to many 'reactive' trades in SC yet, it has mostly been stockpiling cash and dealing with injuries. Come round 13 when someone like Sidebottom is there fresh off his bye I am jumping on.

Even when Joel has played well he has scored poorly (other then the GC game). The Cats don't have the greatest run and their midfield has been lacking depth all season. I think if you can afford to cut your losses, do it.

never ever trade out prems unless LTI. hes gonna put on the afterburners after his hand heals up and burn everyone who sideways trades. I guarantee it

Sometimes it is best to cut your losses. What about the guys that hung onto Swan all of last year? Joel isn't even averaging 100 while the elite in the position average 10-15 points more per game.

It is also not off the back of a 3 or 4 game sample size, it is one based off 8 games. That is a third of the season

Selwood on my radar and sending out strong signals! With everyone jumping off I will be jumping on probably after his bye! Luv it

All Carltons do is tag, that is there only game plan. JElwood didnt need to fire on Friday night but is he prem status? He will be so im holding

Have wasted trades getting others so cant waste another.

Also is his hand worrying him?

If it is I couldn't tell

Think it was just the tag holding him back

I'm 1-1 on rage trades for the season and really do not want to make a third.

The real issue I'm thinking of trading him is because there seems to be a severe lack of downgrade targets right now, although Selwood's bye isn't bad for me.

Don't trade Jellywood.
Yeah, I would never   ;) (unless for injury)

He'll come good, I'm not concerned.
