What is going on this year? Are the kids impacting him? They have to be from looking over his stats

8 games this year so far, 1/3 of the season and he has had 2 good scores, in rd's 2&3, and that's it

Yes he got the hard tag last night, but hasn't really been tagged like that all year and is still well down on numbers

He is still tackling, get FA's, I50's etc but he just isn't scoring well enough for SC

I know it's blasphemy to even consider it, and it would be the ultimate luxury trade but the longer I see myself hanging onto Joel and hoping he turns things around, the longer I keep falling behind

5 scores out of 8 matches being 90 or less is just nowhere near good enough for a prem mid spot

Take the emotion out of it, the gun that he is etc. From a pure SC perspective he is not getting it done

Chris Judd starting tapering off and becoming less and less SC relevant at this same stage of his career as Joel is in now. Just saying

I'm sure I will no doubt hang onto him at least until his bye, but if he doesn't show me enough over the next few weeks I will honestly just pull the trigger and not look back

Sometimes we need to take the emotion out of it, especially with such a proven gun, but if they aint getting it done, then there are plenty of others who are and would love to take his spot in my team ;)

And I started with him alongside...
Sloane (traded out thru injury)
Parker (very slow start but finally turning it around)
Lewis (performed well but warmed the pine while suspended)
With Fyfe, Pendles and the newly acquired Stevie J I think I am going to make the hard call on Jelwood next week.
Carlton without Carrazzo was Joel's time to repay our faith in him and sadly he didn't.
I always try and avoid a sideways/rage trade however when others are scoring well (JPK, Heppell, Priddis etc.) I am finding it almost impossible to keep Joel in the side.

He did cop a hard tag but what is puzzling is the umpires are quick to pay a free kick in the back or forward line if the player is manhandling there opponent with there back to the ball , Curnow did that all night to Selwood and I don't think he got 1 free for that but the Blues are rubbish and they have to try to do something from getting beaten by 100 points every week but it is not the way we want to see the game go IMO

I'm getting pretty fed up with Selwood. I'm nervous about trading him because i know when i do he will come good but l'm seriously cosidering trading him to Sidebottom if he fires this week
