Murphy or Rance?

I've narrowed it down to these two based on current funds available to upgrade Ox with, both playing really well this year.

Rance has a better average vs Bob has a better draw to come.

Leaning towards Rance & his solid form, however not keen on tall lockdown defenders thou. The Dog's fast style of play they will keep giving the ball to Bob as much as possible to rebound in Def.

Thoughts?

Been plenty of discussion about these 2 this week already. Both are solid picks, share the same bye, more or less same price and you shouldn't really go wrong with either

Just pick the guy you feel more comfortable having in your team because there isn't any other way of separating the two

Me personally, I'd go Rance simply because he is averaging more

Yeah it's hard to split them, if I go with Bob I will have $31,200 left in the bank which I would think even if Rocky scores 110, I should still scrape in to go Cripps > Rocky next week.

If I choose Rance, then I will have $23,600 left over, which I wouldn't be able to grab Rocky even he scored 100

Calculations are based off tooserious.

Cant split the two, but the extra cash could be the difference in getting Rocky in for Cripps with 1 trade, so grab Bob

On a slightly different note and at risk of the control freaks being upset by posting in the 'wrong' section, I think CD need to alter defensive actions and their net worth.

More points for things like coming off your man and spoiling (Frost), intercept marking (Rivers last night) and smothers and those things that make defenders valuable to a team but that don't seem to help in SC.

I think next year it'll be guns'n'rookies and as cheap a defence as I can field.

Yes but still needs tweaking if you look at only 3 defenders in top 40 by averages - and yes RD your latest man crush is there.

Yep. Rance is good here. And he gets involved in moving the ball out of def thus gets good possessions per game.

Agree with you especially on the smothers.....

imo smothers should be awarded 2 points if the opposition regains possession, 6 points if it results in your team gaining possession

Can also afford McDonald though..
