As Rico said, they can't get every call right.
There are gonna be some weeks where it feels like they just can't get one right, and then sometimes the calls fall your way.

I complained last week about the umps for the first and only time this year. It was only the first half too.

Agree fact hunt but consistency is all I ask which I am not seeing from the umpires this season and in all games not just Lions games.

Is it any coincidence that teams at the lower end of the table have the most frees against.

Usually because they're second to the footy

It's also because they are 2nd to the ball more often resulting in a higher possibility of giving away a free kick

Agree with both of you about second to the ball but they also have to reward tackles when the player drops the ball which I am not seeing a lot of.
