The defenders are the curse of SC this year. Mine are a bunch of duds with the exception of Shaw but apart from McDonald no one is cutting me to pieces by not having them. Oxley, Newnes and Ibbo are doing as well as most. Got Pittard too and expect him to score okay in most games. So not a great defence but not like anyone has all the top 4-6 for me to get worried about it.

Tossing up between Rance and Birchall this week. Both have the same bye and are rather consistent. Splitting hairs it seems like.

I'm holding H till the 13 bye and will reassess then. Do I think it's a bad idea to trade him now? No. Do I think he can still turn it around? Yep. And if he does, then it'll have been a wasted trade.

Proceed with caution. Freo/Swans/Hawks was never going to be kind to a player like H who likes to run and carry. It opens up for the Dees now so he should be a little freer.

Bob Murphy 4 tons and an 85 out of 7 games. Has consistent scoring previously and a good draw.

He is coming into my team this week. McDonald and Houli are too expensive. If you want to spend 500k+ on bringing in a defender now good luck, but I have been burned in the past doing that and I don't want to be burned now.

I like that choice and am going to hold off getting Rocky for a in order to bring Bob Murphy in this week and try to solidify my ailing back line. Role is secure, they play through him out of the back a lot, should score consistently.
