ROUND 8 TRADES

Ha ha RD I am sitting here thinking the same thing about getting Lambert for a different reason though the poor options of cheap players , getting Lever or Dale means getting rid of players with better JS or coughing up one of my three mid bench spots  :-\

Those reasons are factored into my decision too. I'd rather have Lambert who I can swing with Krak instead of Dale who could be stuck at F8 if he gets dropped

I still have Clark at F7 for coverage and JS, so I'm going with Lambert and keeping all my other rookies that have better JS than the rookie options that are available this week

That opens up that option with Krak for me well so it's looking like goodbye Mr NVB plus I think Lambert will get another go sometime after the byes

would Steele be a better option as I'm thinking he is a better player

Can't see him cementing a place in a team overflowing with young talent

Agree. I considered Steele, but he is going to need a lot of luck to get a gig in that GWS side. His rd13 bye is also horrible for me, where as Lambert's bye is great and even if he doesn't return by rd12 I can still carry him through the byes and field enough players. I also think he will eventually get back into the side too

I've only got 6 rd11 players  :o so I'm actually thinking about trading Bellchambers to Lambert and Nathan Brown to Rocky via McKenzie

I get rid of Brown and get McKenzie out of the mids to D8 which works out nicely, but because I am so low on rd11 players and have Clark at F7 for fwd cover anyway, Lambert at F8 wont effect my byes (in fact its a good thing to get in a rd11 player) but having Krak on the mid bench means I can swing him into the fwds if need be too

I could get Dale instead of Lambert, but Lambert's DPP with Krak is better than going early on Dale who could get dropped eventually

Thoughts?

Belly and Brown are sitting on my benches anyway, so I reckon this is worth the risk considering my lack of rd11 players too

I'm doing everything I can to keep Vanders, this might be the way to go I reckon.

LOL all of that is identical to me, except it's Bellchambers for me instead of Lonie. I've got Tarrant as only rookie on field with Clark at F7 with Lambert F8 and I've got Vanders and Krak both on mid bench. I also have decided to pass on Lever because had McKenzie in the mids and didn't want two def rookies in the mid

I have since made a change to the proposed trade. Bellchambers to Lambert is going ahead, but instead of Brown to Rocky via McKenzie I'm doing Ox to JPK via McKenzie. That way I can wait another week on Rocky, and with close to 50k in the bank Cripps to Rocky next week is an easy option, or I can downgrade Vanders/Clark/Tosh and turn Brown into a prem defender

so was originally gonna go vdb >rocky & lumumba > lever but it makes my defence even weaker but it does leave me $117k

The problem I have with that, and why I changed my mind and am not doing it, is because Tosh/Brown to Lever nets you a measly 100k, and they have better JS than Lever too

Ox to Lever would make the trade worth while I feel

Now that Simmo and Saad have been named I'm leaning now towards trading Oxley to Lever, VBerg to Rocky and letting Lonie sit tight for a week. It will leave me with around 250 grand to upgrade Lonie next week. I'm in the 'keep my sh!t back line and stregnthen other lines' camp for now.

I decided to go Ox to Lever, Lonie to Rocky via Krak. I lose my fwd mid DPP for now, but at least it gives me fwd cover and I can loophole Clark with Salem tonight and bring Krak in if Clark spuds. Hopefully Vberg can have a big one this week.
