Gigantor

Leaves me with 21 trades,147K and 29 playing this week
Saad D6, Tarrant F6 and Miller/Cripps/CEY M6-8 plus evens out my byes to 8/11/11
So yeah I feel like these trades are good :)

FF Community, I need your help!

I have the money to go vandenberg > Priddis (BE of 31 so will go up and has st Kilda this week) or can go rocky and bank 150k for def ug's. Would love your thoughts. Cheers fellas.

Got a dilemma not sure what to do was thinking trading out HOGAN push GODDARD to forwards then get in ROCKY. Next trade out Vandenberg then push 1 of my mid/backs to mid bench and get LEVER just not sure which back/mid to bench.

Assuming you have around 300k in the tin

van>priddis give you one premo now, a 100+ score and leaves you needing a downgrade/upgrade next weekend for def, so 3 trades in total for two premos

van>rocky/  gives you one premo now, a 90+ score, and a straight upgrade this week or next for a def rookie to premo and costs two trades.

id go with rocky, but it wouldnt be the first time the majority has been wrong

Now that Simmo and Saad have been named I'm leaning now towards trading Oxley to Lever, VBerg to Rocky and letting Lonie sit tight for a week. It will leave me with around 250 grand to upgrade Lonie next week. I'm in the 'keep my sh!t back line and stregnthen other lines' camp for now.

This makes sense to me. I think most will run out of cash/ trades earlier than usual this year, or find their benches full of non playing rookies.
With  the rookies so thin  this year, plus injuries so far, I can't bring myself to spend all the cash on super expensive players, no matter how good they are going. So it becomes the gamble on players such as Tmitch, Rocky, Stevie J etc. the problem is, the more you gamble, the higher the odds of losing. Saying that, I'm glad I started Fyfe and Gray!

I want to trade out lonie to a rookie. Either a midfielder or a fwd (which I prefer).
Who are my options?

de Goey in the mids - Should have a big one vs GC which should hopefully kickstart some cash gen. JS not solid though and is a risk for the vest. Very expensive so would need to average 75 to be worth it. Yet to be seen if he is capable
Bailey Dale - Would be going a week early but after watching him against Freo last week I think he'll hold his spot for now. One shocker and he is out though which is a worry. Scored 36 from 33% game time in his only NAB game and got a 50 on the weekend against a solid dockers outfit

I've only got 6 rd11 players  :o so I'm actually thinking about trading Bellchambers to Lambert and Nathan Brown to Rocky via McKenzie

I get rid of Brown and get McKenzie out of the mids to D8 which works out nicely, but because I am so low on rd11 players and have Clark at F7 for fwd cover anyway, Lambert at F8 wont effect my byes (in fact its a good thing to get in a rd11 player) but having Krak on the mid bench means I can swing him into the fwds if need be too

I could get Dale instead of Lambert, but Lambert's DPP with Krak is better than going early on Dale who could get dropped eventually

Thoughts?

Belly and Brown are sitting on my benches anyway, so I reckon this is worth the risk considering my lack of rd11 players too

Ha ha RD I am sitting here thinking the same thing about getting Lambert for a different reason though the poor options of cheap players , getting Lever or Dale means getting rid of players with better JS or coughing up one of my three mid bench spots  :-\

Those reasons are factored into my decision too. I'd rather have Lambert who I can swing with Krak instead of Dale who could be stuck at F8 if he gets dropped

I still have Clark at F7 for coverage and JS, so I'm going with Lambert and keeping all my other rookies that have better JS than the rookie options that are available this week

That opens up that option with Krak for me well so it's looking like goodbye Mr NVB plus I think Lambert will get another go sometime after the byes

GCSkiwi

As a bit of a crazy option, what do people think of this:

Newton and Vanders out, Lumumba to mids, Lever in def and Titchell in mid...

I then have the call of benching Lumumba for CEY in the mids, considering I'm playing Tarrant, Krak and Clark over Bellcho up front I'm not above it :P

Obviously Lumumba and Titchell won't stay in the mids but it gives me a D/M and M/F swing option and leaves me with 460k in the bank...

My only worry is I have a lot of rooks close to maxed out... Oxley, Tosh, Brayshaw, Hogan as well as Newton and Vanders... who to boot?!?

would Steele be a better option as I'm thinking he is a better player
