5 years. 5 long years I've been doing this and all I've got out of it is a HoF induction, lots of appreciation, some satisfaction, and a bit of fun. Actually, that's not half bad! Now if only someone would pay me... ;)

I'm back again! For those new to the forums, each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week.

A few weeks off for me and, admittedly, I don't have time this week either. Lucky for you guys, I don't have my priorities straight! If I miss something obvious, feel free to shout out in the replies!

The thoughts:

Heppell
Out of form but great record against North. I'm backing him bouncing back this week. Prediction - 115

Watson
Also pretty good against North and likes the G (although he struggled on ANZAC Day). Prediction - 105

Goldstein
Never tonned at the MCG from 12 games, not great against the Bombers, and a couple of poor ones in a row. The downward spiral continues... Prediction - 75

Thompson
6 straight tons against the Saints before that 92. He's also 2/2 at AO this year and, before last week, was in ripping form. Expect a return. Prediction - 115

Armitage
Check out his last 5... ridiculous! Best player in fantasy right now. He has to be a lock on form alone. Prediction - 130

Steven
Armitage's partner in crime is also in amazing form. More susceptible to a tag but better against Adelaide. Should also be good. Prediction - 115

I. Smith
DANGER! DANGER! Smith has scored under 100 only twice this year... his two games at the MCG. There are two teams in the whole comp he's never tonned up against... one of them's Melbourne. No Hodge. No Lewis. Smith could attract a tag. Too much saying no! Prediction - 80

Ward
Carlton are crap so someone's gotta score big against them. With 5 straight tons and a good last couple against them, Ward's my pick. Prediction - 115

Treloar
If not Ward, then Treloar. However, his form has been shaky at best. Prediction - 100

Priddis
The Brownlow Medallist quietly has three straight tons. Now would be his week to really bully the struggling Suns. Prediction - 110

LeCras
Not sure why this guy is so popular this week ??? He could do a bit of downhill skiing, which I think will earn him a ton, but I don't expect anything huge. Prediction - 105

J.P. Kennedy
It took Sydney annihilating the Cats last year for Kennedy to get a ton against them. The good part is that the Swans could annihilate them again this week. Of course, they probably won't, and Kennedy's not great against them or at Homebush. Prediction - 100

Hannebery
Struggles with a tag but I wouldn't expect one this week. Good against the Cats and great at Homebush. POD option. Prediction - 115

Selwood
Been poor this season but I love his record against the Swans. Prediction - 110

Johnson
Is he back? Maybe... but too much time in the forward line will be his downfall. Prediction - 90

Mundy
Gosh he's good! Except at Etihad... or against the Bulldogs... Might be too risky this week but my gut says current form with beat history. Prediction - 105

Fyfe
Just keep getting those tons, Fyfe. Also poor against the Dogs and at Etihad. Prediction - 100

Barlow
Much better numbers than his team mates but is he over that niggle that caused some horrid scores only 3 weeks ago? I say yes. Prediction - 120

Pendlebury
Amazing form right now and good against the Tigers. Probably your safest pick and the best if you don't have Armitage. Prediction - 125

Swan
Good against the Tiges but form says no. Prediction - 95

Rockliff
Soon... Prediction - 100

Beams
Couldn't confidentally give this guy the nod until he shows some consistency. I'm guessing he'll be good this week but it's a gamble. Prediction - 115

Gray
Probably more a gut feel than numbers but I'm really liking Gray this week. If the Lions are smashed, Gray will reap the rewards. Prediction - 115

LAHUG'S ROUGHIE OF THE WEEK!

This is a new segment that I brought in Round 4. I'll talk about someone that, partly because of stats and mostly because of gut feeling, I think will go huge this week. It'll usually be somebody that you wouldn't usually give the C to but, if you have him and are feeling brave, might be worth a look.

Boyd
Last 3: 84, 113, 109 (102 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 133, 155, 162 (150 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 113, 113, 90 (105 avg)

Remember when we used to make this guy our captains all the time? Remember how he LOVED playing against those teams from the West? Those numbers are incredibly deceiving, as Boyd hasn't played the Dockers since 2012. If he's fit and running off the halfback, why can't he go back to three years ago? Wild Prediction - 150

The verdict:
1.   Armitage (130)
2.   Pendlebury (125)
3.   Barlow (120)
4.   Heppell (115)
5.   Hannebery (115)
6.   Ward (115)
7.   Gray (115)
8.   Thompson (115)
9.   Steven (115)
10.   Beams (115)

Considering him C for BXVs

SinnerZ

would like to hear your thoughts on Treloar and Hannebery??

NoButYeah

LaHug

Finally up guys. Couldn't decide on a 5 so went with 10. Lots of decent options this week but few stand outs.

Rusty00

Thoughts on Ebert if you have time?

LF

hmm would have thought Guthrie would go to Hanners myself and he does a pretty decent job tagging as well.

Chrisso1

Nice work! Will have to start checking this weekly.

Would go Pendles if I had him.

I like Ebert. 152 off Brisbane last time.
42 points in 1st quarter last week against West Coast before copping a Corky in the 2nd.
Usually scores well Away.
Power will be fired up after last weeks loss.

Because GC are fielding a reserves side atm and WCE should win by close to 200 points
