Ok, so there's been a lot going around about Kevin Pietersen recently, keen to see what everyone here thinks. When voting, please vote as if you want England to do well, even though we know that's not the case. What I mean is don't be like: "He's such a gun and they will win with him so I will vote no." If you think he should play vote yes, if not vote no. I wanna see where people stand.

From an Aussie point of view, I'm obviously glad that they aren't picking one of their best batsman. We'd beat them either way, but he's clearly more talented than a couple of guys in the England batting lineup, who couldn't even get it done vs Windies.

If I'm England, when it comes to the The Ashes I'm picking my best lineup. And KP is in that. So I vote yes.

All of them.

He's still got it, I reckon they've made a mistake prematurely ending his international career. He's a key ingredient I think they'll sorely miss.

I'm happy for him to continue playing around the world in comps like the IPL and Big Bash for as long as he wants, because he's still a fine cricketer. Oh and he needs to keep tweeting as well, his tweets are gold.

Apart from maybe Root and Bell.

So that only leaves one spot because he can't replace Cook or Lyth as he isn't an opener. And Root won't move to the openers spot. And that spot is the number 3, held by Gary Ballance, who won some Emerging Test Cricketer of the year or something at the ICC awards?? He won't take his spot.

So there's no space.

All I'm gonna say is that from an Aussie POV, I'm glad he's not in the team

Mailman the 2nd

He was their best batsman, might not be now that the ECB flowered him over but if he hadn't lost any skill he'd be in the top 2 batters picked.

Kellogscrunchynut

It's laughable that the ECB let their own politics get in the way of picking him, what's next they drop Cook?

Totally agree.

There is no batsman in the England side that I would be concerned about dominating the Australian bowling attack, or the NZ attack for that matter.

England could go 0-7 through the summer in the Tests and probably will.
