I know they are 25-52 but geez these Wolves have a bright future.

KAT, Wiggins and Lavine just soo exciting.

just think they have potentially another top 5 pick to come on. If they could jag Simmons or Igram that would be insane.
Completely agree. I've never seen a better 20 year old than Karl Towns. They get Simmons and its just unfair.
Lebron?

still he is pretty good. kinda reminds me of when KG arrived not saying the same player just similar vibe. This time he has loads of talent. Still really like wiggins aswell.

here is one for you if Wolves landed a top 2 pick if i was westbrook I would head there.

Rubio can handle the ball

PG: Rubio
SG: Westbrook
SF: Wiggins
PF: Ingram/Simmons
C: Towns

Lavine
Muhammad

try taking that team out
Yeah sorry LeBron is probably the one you could argue. But I've got Towns over the likes of KD etc.

Warriors cost me big time on the 6th leg of a multi, at home against the Wolves ffs ::)

would avoid the warriors they are stuck between going for the record and going for the championship.

I reckon they take neither.

2 games against spurs one in San Antonio

2 games against Memphis one in Memphis.

you would think they will lose 1 of them

They lose at San Antonio.

Jay

I still think the Warriors get 73.

Holz

Whats more impressive then 73-9 is 41-0 at home.

Anyone agree?

It's certainly arguable. I just think it's pretty awesome that we've got two record on the line when GS play Spurs in SA. Truly a special season.

Holy shower Hinkie stepped down(/fired?) as GM

we never got to see the end of his process.

the annoying thing for him is embiid will probably come back healthy, they trade okafor for a guard and then pick up simmons in the draft.

And Colangelo will take all the credit

Hinkie said he had lost 20lbs from November to January because it was so stressful...guess he's doing it for health reasons.

Philly is in a remarkably better position now than what they were when Hinkie was hired. Unfortunately, they were in an even better position yesterday.

I still dont know why he got soo much ciritcism.

2013: they took Noel at pick 6. Thats looking pretty good besides Oldipio he was the best pick in top 10. Giannis Antetokounmpo at 15 was the only better later pick and he was never going to go at 6.

2014: Embiid at 3. I know he hasnt played a game but i stand by this pick up. Gordon at 4 and Smart at 6 maybe but the upside was much bigger in embiid (and still is)

Saric at 12 will dpeend if they can bring him over.. La Vine at 13 aint bad but at this stage he is just athletic.

2015: You have to go Okafor, Lakers should have taken him pick 2.

nobody has really screamed wow why didnt you go him.

Wiggins, Towns and Oladipo the only guys who look great and they all werent on the board.

all the other guys like Antetokounmpo were missed by many and at the time werent worth top 5 picks.

The bigger criticism is the lack of spending on FA's and not reaching the salary floor/barely reaching it for the time he was there. But everyone knew he was going to build through the draft, and when the time came, he would spend on the best FA's available.

Seems clear it was a personal decision though. Sixers wanted to bring someone on board to be his equal and that didn't fly with him, rightly so. Penned a 13 page letter, went on the Lowe Post to explain himself and resigned.

RiOtChEsS

Haha yeah next year every team is under the cap so all that's left is how well he built through the draft...

For the losing they've done and the players they've acquired i don't see it as a positive, not totally a negative but it is not a positive

Jay

I only have a couple of criticisms throughout the whole Hinkie era.

1. Being overly cheap with his rookie contracts and losing a kid like KJ for nothing because of it.

2. Not taking advantage of the cap space he had by signing guys to deals which make them assets. Eg Corey Joseph, Bismack Biyombo, Aminu, Ed Davis. Those guys weren't going to be good enough to mess up his lottery ball strategy and they are at least good players. He signs a couple of those guys and the team looks a little better, he can better evaluate his talent on the team by giving them a better supporting cast, and he increases the team's assets. Instead, he just punted the space and now it's going to be very difficult to sign a guy to a good contract with all the teams with cap space.

3. Not until Collangelo came along did they get a half decent point guard. He drafted 2 active centres, but gave them no point guard to run the offense and get the ball to them in good spots. How can you evaluate the talent of big men when you're putting them in such a bad situation for them.

Those aren't huge criticisms and I think Hinkie did a fantastic job. He turned a team of Jrue Holliday, Evan Turner and Andrew Bynum into Noel, Saric, Embiid, Okafor, the highest ever chance at the number 1 pick this year, the Lakers pick, future kings picks, and a heap of cap space. His process was an intelligent one, and if the lottery balls had bounced differently they'd be sitting there with Karl Towns and Hinkie would look like a genius.
