Watching the Heat vs Bucks box scores and notice when Whiteside is on court Heat are winning and when he's been benched Bucks take the lead...why won't they truly unleash this guy?  Seems destined to sit under the 30 min mark...

Heard an interesting topic discussed today. If the NBA dissolved, wiping out all team needs, contracts etc. and there was a re-draft of current players. Who would be the top 10 taken? I've thought about it for a while and come up with this...

1. Steph Curry
2. Kevin Durant
3. Kawhi Leonard
4. Karl Towns
5. Anthony Davis
6. Paul George
7. James Harden
8. Russel Westbrook
9. Damian Lillard
10. LeBron James

Thoughts?

Yep. Less entertainment value than Simmons, but very knowledgeable.

Basically my only difference to their list (not including the order) is that I have LeBron over Cousins, I think.

1. Joel Embiid
2. Jah Okafor
3. Nerlans Noel
4. Jerami Grant
5. Dario Saric
6. Ish Smith
7. Robert Covington

Off topic, but Bill Simmons' analysis has really degraded recently, all he says is like 'he does stuff' or 'he's good', I reckon since he can't have ESPN guests there's no one to call him out on his random crap and he's kind of cocky when it comes to the NBA as opposed to NFL. Nate Duncan knows his shower though.

100% agree. I was thinking about this exact thing the other day. The NBA guests he occasionally has on are still really good (basically any pod with Haralabob is awesome) but just his usual stuff with House is getting very repetitive. Stuff like him going on about body language is just yawn. I much prefer his coverage of NFL now, probably because him and Sal together are hilarious but also think he talks more sense.

Duncan doesn't have much personality through a podcast but yeah he knows his stuff and breaks it down really well. Stuff like the trade deadline simulation, mailbags etc. are as good as NBA pods get.

I wish Lowe did 2-3 a week though because he probably is still the best of the lot. ESPN and CBS ones are quite good apart from the fact I can't stand Windhorst, or Matt Moore haha.

House is literally his buddy from college, he's basically just a yes man to Bill and only balks at the excessively insane calls he makes (Like KD is a coward if he doesn't sign with Boston). Like having his dad on is cool maybe once a month but it feels a bit too regular, but even as a Celts/Pats fan its difficult to deal with the constant homerism (The amount of times they say 'we' in regards to the team gets really annoying imo).

Windhorst is such a jerk-off... Dude loves to bring up random shower like a training camp from 2009 when LeBron did this or some team meeting last month where LeBron said that, just to prove he's a confidant or he's in LeBron's circle or whatever... And ESPN keeps paying him for it cus they can't get enough.

The two I have the biggest problems with are Irving on it at all and Westbrook over Curry.

I cannot be convinced that you can build a team around Irving and expect to win and compete year in year out. Maybe in 2001 if you have the same model as Iverson's 76'ers but not in the current NBA.

I've got to presume you're trolling us here Holz... How can Westbrook be above Curry? Russ is 27, how many more years of elite athleticism will he have left and how effective will he be when that declines? Steph's game is going to age beautifully because his IQ is off the charts and will likely be the best shooter in the league until he retires... Also, would like to hear why Irving > George, Lillard, Harden, Butler, Porzingis.

James above George is pretty crazy too  :-X LBJ is 31 and can't shoot.. I'm not sure how many elite seasons he has left.

Haha yeah exactly, no credentials whatsoever. Granted, I do think House is better in the NBA stuff than NFL - I almost couldn't listen to the NFL pods with him citing his ridiculous, pointless scenarios e.g. where team x is 12-38 following a loss by 14 points on the road, in the week before a bye. ::)

I laughed at the Durant thing, that was pretty funny, but I hope he was joking, haha. I think his Dad is a great guest to talk Celts/Pats stuff but yeah there isn't much variety anymore.

Lmao, I bet LeBron can't stand Windhorst. If I hear him talk for an hour and a half about the role he plays in AD's future by helping determine if he qualifies for the Rose Rule I'll freak. Even Skip and Stephen A are better than that guy.

Sorry westbrook i stuffed up as did on phone he should be after towns.

Lebron is there party due to box office attracting attention and players to play with him. It is a win now league, the guy has elite iq and passing i still stick him at point forward and watch his skill and brain do the work.

George is great but he isnt a legend like lebron. Duncan still a great rim protector at what 38.

Davis is young can do everything and willbe rhe best player in the league. He is stuck in a terribble system put him in a good one watch out.

Take out curry stick davis in golden state and it would be season over.

Durrant best offensive all round weapon yes over curry again give him a pass first point guard and he could drop 30+ a night.

Leonard is your quiet no fuss superstar. No greater organisian then the spurs. If you want to build a spurs like organisation then thats leonard. Defense wins championships so thats why im tipping they win.

Curry great but would love to see him alone.
