Clippers on a 13-0 run in the final 2 minutes with all the starters subbed out :o 3 pt game with 5 seconds left
This game was flowered up.
a) Why were the backups still in?
b) Why did they not call timeout after the steal?
c) Why didn't Wilcox pass?

AD going for the elusive 50-20 game...

Im amazed,

lillard just put up the best stat game of the  season in my books against the warriors. this game from AD is on another level.

from a man who loves numbers this was amazing

24/34 - wow
2/2 3 pointers - good
9/10 FT - very very solid
20 rebounds - 6 offensive - amazing

59 points - it will be the number of the night however the efficiency in which he scored is the really impressive thing. he just had a 90 70 100 night.

Jay

Only tuned in for the fourth quarter, but it was crazy. Never seen a big man as hot as he was.

Oh and he's 22 years old :P

Don't forget only 2 TO's

By comparison, the spurs have 60 points 17 boards in a half.

What a phenomenal player, shame his team his garbage.

really hope he moves. Cant see it happening with a 5 year contract and they wont trade him.

imagine him with an actual point guard instead of all these combo guards.

what I want to see is them do some good trades.

they should have a top 10 pick.

I wonder if they could make some cap room and chase a free agent. Ryan Adnerson and Eric Gordon are free agents end of the year.

some scary combos could come up.

Lebron James: he probably wont leave but imagine him at point forward and guarding the wings then you need to get through AD.
Kevin Durrant: This would just be scary both guys have huge wing spans and the scoring options would be insane.
Russ Westbrook: will probably casue a KD Westbrook thing again but no doubt it would be fun to watch.

they wont do anything and he will stay a 8th seed but they really should. its a huge waste to have him on this team. I just wish it was a better franchise. Flip it and say he was in New York with the current team im sure you could get a big name to join him.

Agreed. It's frustrating to have a transcendent player stuck on an incompetent franchise. They got AD, realised he's great and then tried to win straight away - which was a massive mistake. 2013 Draft, a year after taking Davis, they take the best player available at #6, Nerlens Noel, great move.. But trade him along with a 2014 first round pick to Philly for Jrue Holiday. That pick ended up being pick 10, which means guys like Elfrid Payton, Doug McDermott, Zach Lavine, Jusuf Nurkic, Gary Harris, Rodney Hood, Clint Capela, Kyle Anderson were available. I'd certainly rather any of those guys and Nerlens over Holiday... They then gave up a 2015 first round pick to Houston for Omer Asik - that ended up being pick 18, could have had a Bobby Portis or Jerian Grant in that spot. This latest off-season was another disaster - they gave Asik a 5-year 60 million dollar contract, and Ajinca 4 years 20 million. Both guy's play centre, which happens to be Davis' best position... What an allocation of resources.

The trade deadline a few days ago they did absolutely nothing. That was their last chance to try and get something back for free agents Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson. Gordon has already tried to leave New Orleans before, and Anderson is going to require a massive contract to keep. And all they are going to do now is add wins to the team, worsening their draft pick, before leaving and New Orleans getting nothing in return.

Anthony Davis, Nerlens Noel, Tyreke Evans, Rodney Hood, Bobby Portis + whatever assets they could have gotten back for Gordon and Anderson, and then a lottery pick this year. Now that would be a great core for the Pelicans to go forward with.

Instead they are where they are now. Stuck, and wasting years of Davis.

To be fair, Jrue was an all-star and 23 when they traded for him. They didn't know about the stress fractures and he hasn't been healthy the entire time he has been there.
