Tobias Harris traded to Detroit for Ersan Ilyasove and Brandon Jennings.

Pretty bad trade for Orlando ???

Not really - Orlando have many similar types of players in Harris, Oladipo, Hezonja, Fournier, Gordon

They pick up a starting PG in Jennings which gives them time to develop Payton & Napier (inj). Ilyasova can backup Vucevic and play some minutes at the 4 as well.

Gave up 3.5 years of Tobias (23 years old!) - on a fair contract if he plays well - for 0.5 years of Jennings and 1.5 of Ersan with nothing else for the future. Win now move for the Magic even though:
1. They could have got much more for Harris this offseason (Maybe a 1st)
2. They shouldn't be even trying to win now

Gordon will be unleashed now, but I don't think Magic have finished making moves...Oladipo could be outta there.

Detroit get a young player under contract for his prime while giving up nothing of future value. Can't believe Orlando couldn't even get a pick back in return!

Not opposed to moving Harris because Gordon is their PF of the future, but this is a major sell low.

Kings reportedly going strong for Pau Gasol

http://www.csnbayarea.com/kings/report-kings-going-hard-after-bulls-all-star-gasol

"The deal has plenty of issues before proceeding, but according to the report, the Kings would send prized free agent acquisition Kosta Koufos, former first-round pick Ben McLemore and reduce the restrictions on the team’s 2016 first round pick, which Chicago currently holds."

"Along with Gasol, the Kings would reportedly receive small forward Tony Snell. Sacramento was high on Snell during the 2013 NBA Draft process. They brought him in for two separate workouts before settling on McLemore with the seventh overall selection."

jvalles69

Pau is pushing hard against a trade and has pretty much said he wants to extend his contract with the Bulls...still might happen but don't think they will risk the trade only to have Pau leave anyway.

Jay

HAHAHAHA. Kings gonna King.

Why not just go after Snell and not pay a decent haul for 30 games of Pau Gasol? Do they really want to get swept in the first round that bad?

Pau's ($7.4M) contract is less than Koufos ($7.7M)

He's alluding to the picks.

You're giving up McLemore, Koufos,  the restrictions on the first to a top 5 protected and probably another 1st rounder after the one to Philly becomes unprotected for Snell and Pau for the rest of this season  (he'll bail once it's over) to try and potentially get swept by the Warriors.

Really liked the deadline for Detroit. Cleveland getting Frye is a nice pickup too.

I think Washington overpaid for Markieff, but if they can sort him out it might be worth it. Was a good player last season.

Not sure where Frye fits in behind Love, Thompson, Mozgov and LeBron but doesn't hurt to have a decent shooter

Meanwhile Kieff and D-Mo got 1sts and Tobias didn't...

Frye certainly better then Varejo though.

its an ok move that will make a small difference.

Memphis had a great deadline too.. Getting a first round pick back for Jeff Green is hard to believe. Until you remember that Doc is the Clippers GM.
