I'm rooting for the Raps but boy they are hard to watch... It's just 10-15 seconds of nothing and then a poorly run play for a DeRozan mid range shot... brick. Helps the Heat aren't much better, if at all

Their defence is pretty nice though, they have a few really good individual defensive players - Lowry, Carroll and Bismack, but Joseph and Norm are nice pieces off the bench.

Btw I like the Warriors in 7 in the WCF finals. Thoughts? (I know Holz has OKC in 4 :D)

I have thunder in 7 actually.
I would be surprised if Holz didn't have a GSW voodoo doll he sticks pins in ;D

I need to have a rant, this is really frustrating me. People aren't happy that Steph is the only unanimous MVP in NBA history, which I understand. LBK, Shaq, KG and MJ all had seasons where they deserved to be unanimous. But that doesn't mean Steph didn't deserve it.

People saying that LeBron should have been MVP because he is the most VALUABLE is preposterous. The argument being made is that if you take LeBron off the Cavs, they suck, and if you take Steph off the Warriors, they'd be pretty good. This is what bugs me. If you take LeBron off the Cavs, they'd be a team with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in the eastern conference, those two players alone are better than anyone on the Celtics, who finished as the 5th seed in the east. They wouldn't become a 15-win team like the 2007-2010 Cavs would. If you take Steph off of the Warriors, yeah sure they'd still be pretty good, maybe a 5 seed? But with Steph, THEY WON 73 F'ING GAMES!!! Not enough is being made of being able to take an average playoff team, to the best team of all-time. Even if LeBron had a team of Kwame Brown's who he took to 55 wins, I'd still say Steph because the jump from being a 55 win team, to winning 73 is ridiculously large - I mean, no one has ever won 73 before this year!!

This season watching Steph has been like what I imagined watching MJ in the early 90s would be and I find it unbelievable how many people still don't realise this. Appreciate it, because he just put up a regular season as good as anyone in NBA history and I can't wait to see him make a bigger impact deep in the playoffs than what he did last year.

Agreed, Steph deserves the unanimous decision, he's done/doing some incredible things we've never seen on the court.

People have taken LBJ's comments and interpreted them their own way and run with it.  Even Curry was a dickhead when asked about LBJ's comments saying he's "learnt not to listen".  LBJ was taking about what valuable means in general terms and different interpretations of the term, and he also said that Curry was the best player this season and deserves MVP.

I actually felt uncomfortable about what LBJ said, i didnt want to take it in the wrong context but it was odd and i left it there

Be it people like those older players better or they just dont like Curry, fans try to protect or detract from greatness

I seen the MJ seasons in real time and they were great no doubt, Shaq's dominance in LA...

This season has been by far my favorite for 2 reasons other than the actual greatness of his season

1: At his size and game style he has revolutionized interest in basketball, people who liked basketball but were not physically gifted enough to play above the rim now believe that it can be done at the top level with hard work on skills and fundamentals (me)

2: Watching this season with my son and seeing the above impact it's had on him first hand, he doesn't want to dunk like MJ and the 90's basketball era made me, he wants to handle the ball well, he wants to work purely on shooting, he doesn't care for dunking at all.

Just going to talk some draft news

After the combine things I found out views are my own along with some help by ESPN

A few teams have Jaylen Brown(Cal) top 5. While others have him 15-20

Malachi Richardson(Syracuse) is around 20 in the big boards but keeps moving up. Wouldn't surprise me being 10-15 by draft day

Caris LeVert has more injuries than anyone I have seen in the last 2 years. Was top 10 once now late first round maybe second

Cheick Diallo(Kansas) Really raw didn't do much in college but was a top 10 high school player. Dominated the combine

Michael Gbinije(Syracuse) He is 24 but suits the NBA game style watch for him in the second round to light up the NBA

Melo Trimble(Maryland) Was Relton Roberts bad at the combine, will go back to College/D League or Europe

Caleb Swanigan(Purdue) Was big in college but inconsistent won't be drafted and should go back to College

Nigel Hayes(Louisville) Come up big in college but without playing in the tournament he decided to do the combine and wow was he bad. If he stays in college watch for him to be top 20 next year

Marcus Lee(Kansas) Tricky situation Kentucky were poorer than normal and have a good draft class. He needs to improve his stock to get drafted. Has talent but didn't get to show it much

Justin Jackson(North Carolina) Developed an outside shot but with Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige being North Carolina he should head back to school and watch him dominate next year. Very underrated.

Josh Hart(Villanova) Great college shooter with athleticism but struggled testing could go same as Jackson but I want him to stay back. He is good for the game of College basketball.

Demetrius Jackson(Notre Dame) Point guard had the second highest vertical leap (with run up) can shoot but is a poor man's Kemba Walker.

Robert Carter(Maryland) Can look like Korver from behind the 3 point line then can air ball his next 3 shots. Not really athletic but quick. I really like him but struggles at times. Could go second round.

Niang(Iowa State), Ellis(Kansas), Paige(North Carolina) Been the spirit of College basketball over the last 4 years don't seem to ever reach NBA level sadly

Denzel Valentine(Michigan State) Was the highest draft prospect at the combine. Didn't shine but didn't disappoint

Malcolm Brogdon(Virginia) Lights out shooting in the 5-5 which should get him drafted. Fancy him a lot

Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram, Jamal Murray, Kris Dunn, Buddy Hield, Henry Ellenson, Jakob Poeltl, Jaylen Brown, Skal Labissiere, Deyonta Davis, Malik Beasley, Anthony Barber (injury), LeVert (injury), and Selden (injury) all didn't test as per normal for most top draft prospects

From what I have seen it still looks like
1. Ben Simmons
2. Brandon Ingram
3. Dragon Bender(International)
4. Buddy Hield

Just have to wait til Wednesday (our time) for the lottery to be drawn.  Best outcome for me is Sixers get 1st pick, Kings get 2nd pick.  Sixers take Ingram, Kings take Simmons (as SF)

Did you hear how Thon Maker went, Griff?

I'm so excited for the lottery! Does anyone know if it will be on NBA TV?

JBs-Hawks

Pacers to promote Nate McMillan to head coach

Dragan Bender might be the GOAT name

He sat out the 5-5 in my opinion that was good for his stocks sitting out as he tested well. Playing against College players in the 5-5 I believe would have made him struggle very different style in the games at the draft combine

His athleticism surprised NBA scouts

Maximum Vertical Leap: 36.5’

Standing Vertical Leap: 32’

Lane Agility Time: 11.5 seconds

Three Quarter Sprint: 3.33 seconds

Shuttle Run: 3.09 seconds
