Just some numbers to reflect what we're seeing at the moment :) Granted, these are mainly offensive but those happen to be the most important ones and its not like Steph's defense is at all bad so you could discredit these. He's 3rd in defensive RPM among PGs and opponents only shoot 43% against him - totally fine. Oh and then factor in that his team is 53-5.

Steph Curry 2015-16: 32.9 PER, .685 TS%, .340 WS/48, 13.3 BPM, 126 o.rating, 102 def rating, +26.3 on/off

Wilt Chamberlain 1961-62: 31.7 PER, .536 TS%, .286 WS/48

LeBron James 2012-13: 31.7 PER, .640 TS%, .322 WS/48, 11.6 BPM, 125 o.rating, 101 def rating, +15.3 on/off

Michael Jordan 1987-88: 31.7 PER, .603 TS%, .308 WS/48, 12.2 BPM, 123 o.rating, 101 def rating

Shaquille O'Neal 1999-00: 30.6 PER, .578 TS%, .283 WS/48, 9.7 BPM, 115 o.rating, 95 def rating

Kareem Abdull-Jabaar 1971-72: 29.9 PER, .603 TS%, .340 WS/48

Oscar Robertson 1963-64: 27.6 PER, .576 TS%, .278 WS/48

Question for Jay?

is Curry having the best season ever?

or are Kaly Draymond and the other Warriors being amazing?

alot of those stats are influenced by the team.

So either Curry all time great with a good team or curry is having a MVP quality season (not greatest) and the team around him is great.

I remind you the Spurs are 50-9 (better +/-) so if curry is having a all time great season then he better keep that up as it indicates if he drops down to just MVP the spurs are better.

I think Curry is having the best season, and has a really good supporting cast. Put those two things together and you get a team who have a good chance to go 73-9.

I'm with you that the Spurs are awesome too, on track for the best point differential ever. Can't guarantee that the Warriors will beat them, but I presume they will. Actually after what we saw yesterday, I'm kinda thinking that OKC might match up best with the Warriors...

The Thunder making the finals is an even more outrageous prediction than the Cavs winning it.

this is why I said the Thunder are a chance. Very very dangerous to Spurs and Warriors. I would love it as Cavs would find them the easiest with Lebron, KD kryptonite.

Thats the difference in the west with OKC and Warriors, GSW have a game winner in Curry, OKC have Durant and to a slightly lesser extent Westbrook, I wouldn't say Spurs have a proven game winner now, but have such a solid team.

do they need a game winner?

I have always said there is no need to hit a game winner if you are up by 10

for the record I would say its Leonard. got to remember he does have the highest 3 point percentage in the league and a Finals MVP.

he can be a game winner on the other end of the floor with big stops.

That's what I meant, they have such a well rounded team they don't need one, but I think in crunch time if the games tight they don't have a proven guy to take the winning shot.  Manu was prob the guy in the past, but I'd say they give it to Kawhi now, although he hasn't proved he can win games like that in the way Russ, KD and Curry can.

do you think he has proven that he can stop others from winning games though?

If it was 1 on 1 Leoanrd would beat curry easy but they will probably screen him most of the time soo it wont be 1 on 1.
