Walked past the water cooler today, and heard this distinct quote:

"I heard Holz used the 2012 wooden spoon to back-slap Rory Sloane after he failed to produce as captain... now he has a fractured cheek-bone."

at Dublin we have a high standard, Sloane actually isn't injured and those reports are unfounded. We have dropped him due to his run of poor form. Everybody earns their spot on the list and if you don't step up there are plenty of guys just waiting to play in the defending champions team.

Lachy Hansen has taken his injury recovery very seriously and was solid in the 2s last week, so deserves a spot in the starting squad.

I swear it's tough to make some calls this week! Williams, Trengove and McPharlin vying for a back spot (and Watson in future weeks depending how he goes), then have Lobbe who's out of form and Cordy who is somehow keeping Minson out of the team, but up against the might of the Land of Sand, may not be the best time to bring him back in.

Then it brings us to the forwards of France... Westhoff, Rioli, Swan, Wingard, Lynch, Billings, Zerrett and Casboult all vying for 4 spots. It's just not enough spots, so they take both the utility spots and caused me to use one of our forward presses this week! (Unless I change my mind tomorrow).
