Stevie J

Tempted, very tempted. When was the last time Stevie J was 425k? Never would probably be the answer. He's thrown up a few shockers but Geelong's draw opens up from here. Straight swap with Rich, someone talk me out of it.  ;)

I only get players that bottom out due to a one off injury not just because they are playing average footy.
Rocky the perfect example of a true bargain due to injury rather than form.

I expect him to average 115+ for the rest of the season

Not sure i agree with this, what about form slumps ect?

I'm not a fan of taking a risk in the mids for players that are in form slumps

Yes you can grab a bargain, and someone like Rocky and Sloane through injuries represent great value, but are Barlow or Parker going to be Top 10 or so this year? I wouldn't think so

Not arguing the value for money, because 480k is a bargain, but I don't think they will be Top 10 from here on
This last bit is the only bit that matters. They only have to be top 10 from here on in. Past scores count for little now.

Jordan Lewis averaged 87 for the first 6 rounds last year. Averaged 118 for the rest of the year.

Priddis and Sidey are other examples from last off the top of my head.

As do I, because I said it lol, I just think there are better options than Barlow and Parker, that's all

With a BE of 65 would you say that Gray has bottomed out or is it just that his scoring has been soo good it's inflating his price? Basically, if I was to bring him in now am I pretty much paying top dollar give or take a few thousand?

At 570k, Gray needs to average 114 to maintain his value.  Currently going 117?  If you don't get him now you might have to wait 5-6 weeks for him to drop under 570k again.  An you afford to miss the games he goes 130+?  I'm getting him this week.

I am looking at culling my drug addled dope of a Don defender Hibberd for Gray.

Capper

Duggan has a BE of 0 and a 93% chance of getting it!!

Priddis has already bottomed out

Lewis is the only one that i can see that will bottom out soon

Stevie has always been up and down, he's a bit like Griff in that regard. Last four seasons haven been 107, 96, 116 & 106. Interestingly in his 96 year he started with scores of 58, 68, 56, 69 & 65. He then went on to pull out scores of 169, 105, 74, 156 & 146. His average was also affected by an injury affected 3. He's a roller coaster but I'm happy to jump aboard.

Money Shot

Stevie J is really tempting me .....
So is K Jack and Toby Greene ...

Could Nostradamus please answer the following?

Should Rocky score 105 this week and then 105 the following week, what will his prices and BE's be for the next 2 weeks?

Reason being, I want to know whether he is a must next week or the week after.

Cheers in advance.

He is projected to score 72 this week and drop to 438k, and then next week that would give him a BE in the 90's

I think it's fair to say he should score more than 72 this week, meaning he will prob drop to 450k ish, which is him bottomed out with a lower BE the following week, so next week is the week to get him

I've done my calculations based on scores of 115 (it is Rocky after all!!)

Rnd 7 score of 115 leads to price of 457k.  BE for round 8 would be 62.  Another score of 115 returns his price to 480k

Jay

Might just jump on Rocky this week and cop the price drop. Guy says he's going to go large this weekend.
