Thoughts on Luke Parker

Considering using my war chest to bring Luke Parker into my side instead of Pendlebury. Down $100k on his starting price and is an absolute gun in the making. Will allow me to upgrade to another quality premo next week. Can he get back to the form of last year, improve a bit and average 110 odd or should I just slot Pendles in? Cheers!

Good buy soon, I expect, but I wouldn't have thought ahead of Pendles. Pendles is essential, IMO. Can't be in the team soon enough.

Not getting it done this year, cheap doesn't always mean worthy.

I'd be looking at mids that will be top 10 and who are currently in good form, and Parker doesn't cut it this year

He's almost having a '2nd year blues' from his break-out year...
Swans have had a tough start to the year thus far. Historically (2014 anyway) it seems when Parker plays well the Swannies are up, and vice versa (as opposed to other guns who perform week in/week out even in sides that get flogged).
He can probably only go up from here (well from next week anyway... can possibly expect another drop this week with his BE 113).
A roll of the dice though, I wouldn't bet on him being top 10 mid on averages from here on (although he is capable).
If you have trades to burn he's not a bad pick-up, but I would allow another one down the track to upgrade him if it doesn't work out.

Extremely stiff to miss AA last year. Not a top 10 mid, but could do worse. Still, his BE is 113 so I wouldn't be bringing him in. Don't see him breaking 110 either

Yeah you cant not look at him if he falls below $500k. Bye an issue, but would be a steal if he could have a similar back half of the year.

If you want a bargain to avg 95-100 for rest of season then get on..not sure i want him being just a pure MID

Have Fyfe, JPK. Heppel, Ward, Pendles, Beams   to add Rocky and one of Selwood, Priddis or GAJ.      Where would Parker fit in that group?

I didn't realise he hadn't hit the ton  :o was doing awesome in round one until concussed, then he's been a bit slow since.

I reckon he's a good buy, I can trade him in this week, or bring in Glen this week and Pendles next week.
