Fremantle sitting comfy on top of the ladder, and Essendon just outside the 8! Bombers coming off a close win against the near-bottom Saints, so not the best form coming up against Freo.

Both teams losing an elder backman in McPharlin and Fletcher each. Freo's midfield has been on point this season, as has their defence, so Bombers will have to put pressure on both if they are to come away with a win here.
