I have a few options this week, but not sure which path to take!

I'm holding Hodge and Lewis but I've decided to trade Kelly as he's going to miss about 4-6 weeks by the sounds of it and my defence is shower as it is, so I can't afford to have a "premium" on the bench for that long.  My first trade is a bit of a safe play as I'll be trading Kelly to Birchall.  I hate having to sideways trade (this will be my third for the season already having started with both Rocky and Gaz) but I feel forced into it in this situation.

I'm not sure on my second trade though, so this is where you fine people come into it.  I'm not sure whether to upgrade a mid or a forward this week, but I have plenty of options in both lines.  All opinions are more than welcome!

I would answer, but I am also struggling on who to upgrade to. Of those guys that you are looking at getting rid of, the two I would pick are Newton and McCarthy

Yeah, it's tough.  I really want to get another mid in as that's where the bulk of your points usually come from, but my forwards do need a bit of work too.
