The other option i could do is downgrade Hogan to Josh Glenn via Krak and upgrade Salem to keeper in the forward line like Gray etc this would make up for lost points

I'd rather this to be honest mate.. Saad will get plenty of opportunity with all the players out for GC so should be good for 80+..
Salem may not play this week and will be good for 65 and Hogan is coming up against some good KPD's (Richards, Gibson etc) so he may struggle.. Ask yourself

Saad + Gray
Salem/Hogan + Hodge replacement

I'd rather Saad + Gray, every day of the week

I like it Wato

whynot102

Leaning towards Wato thinking Saad & Gray better in the long term and no sideways trades

Jesty

Think hodge will come back and score big time to make amends for his indiscretions.  But gotta trade out. In your position you can not afford him on the bench forc3cweeks.

Can't afford to have him on the bench? Think about how many points he will lose by doing so. 30? Maybe 45? Not worth a trade at all.

Exactly - Whereas he fields Hogan/Salem over Gray and he will lose 30-60 points each week which amounts to 120-180 points lost

YoungGun

wato making plenty of good points, also im sure most people ahead of you will be fielding saad anyway. the points gained from being able to trade salem to gray heavily outweighs the points Rance for example might score over saad

Jroo

3 weeks is too long to hold in your position, IMO.
I'd trade

Bully

Hodge will also miss more matches, probably at the business end of the season.

Why on Earth do people think TRADE TRADE OMG TRADE?!

Considering how bad so many defensive premiums are this year, there's nothing wrong with taking Saad's 80s. It's not like you have a $600k 120ppg premium missing and an average rookie scoring 60s for cover. You can gain so many more points with that trade than a simple 30-45.

Torpedo10

I don't believe the trade hard or go home strategy within the Defence, not this year.

Hold with Saad.

IMO
Let Saad cover for 3 weeks, Adel, W.Coast, Coll. Then hodge will be back to play the Suns and might be a POD by then.
In the meantime, increase ya point scoring potential on other lines to make up the difference.

You should really ask Holz opinion too.

Best of luck ;)

Will Hodge finish top 6 Defenders?
Can the trade saved gain back or surpass points lost over these 3 weeks vs your competition in later rounds?

I reckon you can pull it off.

Get Gray in your side now and put hodge on the bench
