And kudos to Pacific and New York in breaking their ducks over their oppositions this week :)

And strangely, Cairo continue their win-less record against the Cobras  :o

Can I just say, how good a pickup has Tommy Bell been for us this year! 103 average across the first 6 rounds 8)

Gotta be our best pickup of the offseason!

Tokyo Genuine Giant Killers

WOW! Huge upset! Tokyo, despite Captain Luke Dahlhaus failing, have run the much fancied Toronto off their feet and producing yet another victory against either current or top-4 contending team (Tokyo have beaten Mexico City & London already). Tokyo now move up to 4-2, already having Dublin out of the way, and face a much easier draw from now on! Wow, what a huge win for the Samurai! Toronto meanwhile, let me down. They let me down, and have now allowed Beijing to take over as my favourite club. The Wolves need to address this ASAP, and produce another heart-filled performance to compete with the deafening hype over at Beijing.

Toronto Wolves (22.9.141) lost to Tokyo Samurai (23.6.144)

Best
Toronto: Scott Pendlebury, Ryan Griffen, Tom Hickey, Jack Ziebell, Matthew Pavlich
Tokyo: Chris Judd, Anthony Miles, Luke Parker, Kieran Jack, Shaun Burgoyne

Late Changes
Toronto: Jamie MacMillan replaced by Steven Morris

Pity we had out best score for the year when our worst would've still got the win  ::)

Ah well, happy to find some form and can't really complain with a W.

Cobras' Venomous in Return to Form

Ah, this is more like it! Cape Town would be ecstatic not only about the win, but in the manner they achieved it. The score puts them behind only Dublin this week; a massive boost for team morale. Cairo continue to look for some more players to stand up, and would be desperate for Pearce Hanley to return.

Cairo Sands (18.6.114) lost to Cape Town Cobras (24.6.150)

Best
Cairo: Dayne Beams, Shane Mumford
Cape Town: Shaun Higgins, Josh P Kennedy, Mark Blicavs, Stefan Martin, Jeremy Cameron

Late Changes
Cairo: Nathan Gordon replaced by Jeremy Laidler
Cape Town: Craig Bird replaced by Jeremy Cameron

Reserves

Alexandria Heiroglyphics (7.11.53) lost to Durban Pirates (18.6.114)

Best
Alexandria: Jake Batchelor
Durban: Gary Rohan, Sam B Reid, Darcy Lang, Jake Kelly

Great to see. Needed a bit of a percentage booster to get back on track and we can always rely on a match vs Cairo for that. Managed to pick our highest scoring player as captain which is always nice.

Even despite the win there were a couple of reserves players out scoring the first team so there's more work to do at the team selection table.

Great  to see some of our youngsters coming through like Darcy Lang and Jake Kelly.

BEI-flowerEN-JING!

How close was that! Just managed to scrape across the line - with a score that we are very happy with! But still missing some key players and need our forward line to function a bit better if we're to post more wins. Can't complain at the moment though, just hope the lads can keep it up! 8)

Went from you boys to NDT to us late in the trade period! Can't remember what you guys got for him but safe to say while I saw good potential in Tommy I wasn't quite expecting a breakout as good as it has been so far.
