Wouldn't be surprised if Bennell leaves the Suns anyway which is just what they need. They will have a team full of mediocre non drinking rule-following robots that play without passion (with a few exceptions) and without hope of attracting great players.

Great coaches/managers know how to manage men and get the best out of them, they may not have written the rule book for the Salvation Army, but their players will do anything for them. I don't see that at the Suns.

"OK boys, good to get our first win, we've still got a long way to go, now let's bond by everyone going their own way and having a complete alcohol ban." Or perhaps we could all socialise together for a few hours, enjoy each others company and regroup tomorrow at 7.00am for training.

Bennell was dobbed in by a team mate for being seen at a boxing match with a beer in his hand - give me a break!!

Same thing happened with Motlop at Geelong mate. Its the AFL not amatuer footy, and the Suns certainly are travelling well at all

Seems odd, considering this article says he is away from the club today and will do tests during the week

I'd field him this week. Playing Richmond and we just bomb the ball in long, he could rack up a bit of the ball like Taylor and Rivers did last week.

Don't think it will change his role much at all, think he will still take the #1 or #2 forward (Thompson/Firrito's role may change the most)
