Approaching The Byes

Seeing as we are getting closer to the byes, are people starting to plan their attack?

I just looked at my current premiums, and rd13 is going to kill me

Danger
Dusty
Simpson
Bont

Rd12
Pendles
Fyfe
Swan

Jelwood
Shiel
Shaw
Lumumba
McDonald*
Goldy

* I don't have McDonald yet, but was going to get him this week. I am now having second thoughts due to having so many rd13 players

Not sure what I can do about rd13 now... seemed to have backed myself into a corner  :-X

And Rocky/Sloane/Simpson/Smith etc who I want in will be at the expense of Cripps, CEY, Tosh who are all round 11 players

I really want to bring in McDonald this week, but now I am thinking I might have to go with Smith instead

I plan on bringing in JPK next week if all goes to plan, so that's fine being rd12

I might even dump Lumumba before the byes if he doesn't improve by then, so that could be an option too, but I def wont be bringing in anymore rd13 players until after the bye now

I guess the positive out of my rd13 dilemma is that they are evenly spread across the field, so hopefully I can still get 18 onto the park that week

I have definitely been keeping the byes in the back of my mind. I plan to do a fair bit of trading from now till they byes to tidy up my structure.

My Current Bye structure is 6-12-12. This stays the same after my trade from Newnes to D.McKenzie this week.

My 2 options I am considering to bring in for Salem are Buddy and Goddard.

The other option is to bring in Danger for Newton

My current keeper structure is 3-5-6, which is shown below

Gibson, Sloane D.Martin

Rd 12
Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, TBC (will be keeping him at this stage still), Swan

Rd 13
Shaw, Hibberd, Selwood, Ward, Nic Nat, Gray

By position I have 3 defensive keepers, 6 midfield, 2 ruck and 3 forward.  This by byes is split 1-0-2 in defence, 1-3-2 in the mids, 0-1-1 in ruck and 1-1-1 up forward.

The rookies in the main come from round 12 + 13 so these can easily be culled for round 11 premiums.

The likes of Simpson, Birchall, Smith in defence, Danger and Rocky in the mids and Roughy, Dahlhaus and Cyril up forward are desirable due to their byes and I will be targeting these players in the next few weeks.

I still want to get in Buddy and Goddard up forward as I believe they will end up in the top 8 forwards, I'd like to find a way to get Goldy into the ruck eventually but still keep TBC for cover and have a plan to bring Ablett in.

Maybe, just maybe, Newnes gets upgraded during the byes.  Stef Martin tempting but I don't think Beams/Rocky/Martin is a good thing to have.

Sloane and Rocky may come in before the byes, but ideally they hold their prices just in time for the r12 bye.

3/3/6 on the cows and Bellcho+ROB.  Don't really have any idea what I'll do with Bellcho.  It makes trading Newnes much more tempting, especially if Brodie Smith proves to be a good pick.
