Ok I have finally settled on this...
Salem>Glenn via Krak DPP
Goodes>Birchall

My DEF is now Shaw, Lumumba, Newnes, Birchall, Ibbo, Oxley (KMcIntosh Saad)

I am prepared to give Newnes 1-2 more weeks.

We had exactly the same eight defenders before you traded Goodes. I am holding Goodes for one to two more weeks.

If everything goes well, I'll likely downgrade him to McKenzie next week in a double downgrade with Hogan to Glenn, then the week after upgrade KMac to Hibberd/Simpson/Smith who are falling and Vandenberg/Miller to Pendles in a double upgrade.

Keith Urban

just looking for some thoughts on these two trade options :)

J.Kelly > Pittard
Salem > JPK via Krak

or

J.Kelly > Pittard/Birchall/McDonald
Salem > Goddard

was looking at pittard as a bit of a POD and his willingness to take the game on is promising. I only have enough cash for JPK if i take Pittard. Not sure if I should be looking at picking up someone who is closer to a sure thing, McDonald/Birchall, and bolstering my forward line with Goddard, currently own Martin/Swan/Bont with Gray in the mids.

Ok guys i have 2 trade options, thinking either one of these might be ok but im still in rage trade mode following a shocker of a week.

Option 1: Newnes & Griffen - T McDonald & JPK/Shiel
Option 2: Salem & NVB - JPK/Shiel & Glenn via Lambert

Im leaning more to Option 2 as im replacing 2 lower priced players into a Premium and potential rookie upgrade (Glenn)

Option 1 is also a good option as ive had a gutful of Newnes and Griffen but is it really benificial in replacing them with T Mac & JPK/Shiel? In terms of points difference it might be 40-50 pts combined on average.

Whats everyones opinion on Shiel? Worth bringing in?

Option 2 definitely mate. As much as it hurts hanging onto Griffen and Newnes, you're not going to lose too much $$ and you're upgrading rookies.

500k in the bank, 24 trades remain. would like to hold but rich is worrying me.

rich > gray this week. next week lonie > glenn thru gray swing.
OR: go early on glenn this week and trade nvb > glenn and rich > gray/any premo and do a double upgrade next week

thoughts?

Why is Rich worrying you? Has had 1 poor score and is averaging 4 points less than Selwood. Wait 2 weeks and do a straight swap with Rocky.

Welcome Scott Pendlebury and McKenzie, goodbye Salem and Newnes (I'll forget your name as the door hits you in the arse on the way out)...

Brookesy

Would love to get some thoughts. My original plan was to not trade this week (I have 24 trades left thanks mainly to LTIs), and then bring in MacKenzie and Glenn next week for Newnes and Salem, then do a double upgrade (possibly Sloane and a forward) the following week.
However, it seems Newnes will drop in cash and I am sorely tempted to go Newnes to Mackenzie (jumping the gun, but I have Saad, Oxley and McIntosh as D6-8)  and Salem to Dahlhaus this week, which will let me go Hogan to Glenn (through swinging Gray to the fwds) and then Vandenburg (or Lonie, if he makes enough cash, through swinging Krakouer into my fwds) to Sloane (as long as he has played and dropped in value).
I know that I am not maximising my profit potential for my rookies (especially Vandenburg) but maybe this is being offset through bringing in two keepers, potentially scoring better and creating a stronger team more expediently.
What do you think?

I'm going early Newnes to McK if he holds his spot, and Salem will be culled. Next week I'm ditching Hogan as well.

If you're trading the cows early because the premium you want has bottomed out, there's nothing wrong with that. Hogan could make 100k, but so could Sloane again...
