Pretty sure he is a VIC boy

You sure? I think he played his young junior footy in Vic, then went to WA and played there before he got drafted

Fair enough. A bit off topic, but noticed Biggsy in the best at Footscray this weekend. Think he's close to breaking in, especially with Jong missing one or two?

Yeh really hoping he is a chance to get in. The first game he came back he visibly took it very easy, was a bit worried about re-injuring the hammy. Since then he has played 2 solid games so could be a chance. Need him to get in now haha not many doggies look like getting dropped thats for sure

That's for sure! They need to start moulding him into the next Bob Murphy ;) he has great disposal and vision. He had 19 handball receives in the magoos along with 31 possies (21 kicks)

Ricochet

Yep just like we claim Gilchrist, we claim Tommy as a WA boy ;)

Its just my opinion Honza, I understand you don't think so. And thats fine. Ive always been a TMitch fan, even from before he played his first AFL game.

All good chief.

I suspect, just like everything else in life, that the truth falls somewhere between. That's life.

I wouldn't say I'm not a fan. But rather he's good at things the team already has. If he were traded, which I think looms large, he'd be an asset at a team like Brisbane/St Kilda, even West Coast who don't have a midfield yet. If he were at the Saints he'd be close to my first picked.

Yeah I was thinking he is pretty good trade meat for Sydney. But he is a NSW boy isn't he? I suppose if you are not getting a game....

I reckon they believe he can rectify his errant defensive behaviour, or he would have already been a trade option. Getting 64 possessions, even in the worst league in Australia, would make the coaching staff hold on to him that little bit more, surely.

Isn't the reason they're holding onto him because he is on a massive pay packet (comparatively for players with his level of AFL experience, or lack there of).

Im not sure that they are particularly worried about the defensive side of his game, seems to me that when a young AFL midfielder needs to learn the defensive ropes he gets the run with role most weeks to learn from the best midfielder such as Pendles/Selwood/Fyfe etc.

I would have thought it was more because of his lack of pace. Weren't they playing Cunnigham last year ahead of Mitchell.....?

Mailman the 2nd

They're holding him back untill 2020 when all the other 21 year olds get to his level

ants

There was a Roos player in the last few years that reminds me of Mitchell just can't remember was a absolute ball magnet but just couldn't get a gig for some reason the name Liam comes to mind!

Liam Anthony. Ask Holz about him ;)

JBs-Hawks

The only thing that Tom Mitchell and Liam Anthony have in common is they both have two first names!

Woppa15

Liam Anthony....? He's a spud! Titchell will be far better than Anthony! Just needs a team wherw there is a spot for him and where his skills will be appreciated, say somewhere like Geelong ;)

1. Nobody knows
2. If he cements a spot and continue to crush then he will be a great pick, but that's still a decent IF at this stage due to Q1

Exactly this. He's a gun I really dunno why he's not getting a regular gig in the swans senior team... I had him in my preseason team cos I was sure he'd get a gig but no. I'll pick him up next year when he goes to another team, walks into their 22 and kills it then :P
Most likely scenario.    Once playing regularly should improve DE as well

elephants

Titch had 9 tackles on the weekend, his defensive pressure surely isn't THAT bad that is sees hacks like Towers getting regular gigs over him?!

Jump on, and hold on!
