One of the toughest blokes out there. In saying that, I havent seen him get an awful lot of hard ball this season so far. Even towards the end of last year, it seems to be looking like a role thing, just spending too much time behind the ball

They are using him either in the hole due to his toughness or he is being used as the outlet options. So when the ball hits the ground they are trying to release him to carry the ball out. He still wins a lot of one on ones, but playing last line in a team that gets scored against heavily isn't great for your fantasy team

I know it seems crazy for me to even post this, but Carlton is absolutely horrible

Simmo has done well while Carlton has been average, but my concern is that because they are so shower now, is it time that he will finally no longer be a premo?

Yeah RD pretty much talked me out of picking him, went Bob Murphy instead which has been ok

Yep, had a feeling I shouldn't have started with him, and should have waited for him to drop in cash and get him in later in the year

RD is horrible at 50/50 calls

He always seems to have slower first halves, then gets more of the ball in the 2nd. These 70 odd scores aren't bad, but they aren't great either.

Like I said, I never said I was going to trade him out - just wish I went with my gut and didn't start him. Just need a few 100+ scores from Simmo, but Carlton being so bad is my worry

I just wish I was bringing him in now myself as opposed to starting, but it's not all that bad

He will be good enough for a Def spot for sure

Cheers. Defense has been like that all around the park, my rookies are basically averaging the same (oox now more than) my premiums, Lumumba, Hibb and Newnes all 80 or even 70 :( Shaw the only one going 90+ for me

I feel sorry for Simpson, tries his guts out every week in that Carlton backline and doesn't usually get much help.

Will still be a top 10 back (and top 6), a few tons are just around the corner I feel

I think he's still thereabouts for top 10 defender. Might be a good trade in.

I do want to trade him in... But Saad and Oxley are doing such a good job at on field and is it worth moving them to the bench just yet :/
