The South Australian is an inside-outside midfielder who has played two seasons of senior football in the SANFL and at 20 years of age is considered ready to play AFL football immediately.

Last year, Glenn declined an invitation to attend the AFL Draft Combine and withdrew his nomination from the draft, citing a desire to develop his football in the SANFL for another year.

Twelve months on, and on the back of strong form for Centrals, the versatile on-baller gets his opportunity on the Gold Coast.

Glenn’s elite endurance stood out during the pre-season campaign, with the utility finishing near the top in several 2km time-trials.

He is an accurate kick and has been elevated to replace O'Meara, He is a little older than most rookies and has a body made for AFL. 
Can watch for 2 weeks and see what happens at Suns.  Rocket has said teams will be picked on form and not reputations (regardless of who they are) so if he performs well should be his position to lose.

Perfect timing to downgrade Newton in a couple of weeks. Gold Coast midfield massively struggling so could get a decent crack at it.

Is he a viable early downgrade option?

Obviously his score may have been inflated from playing a dismal Brisbane Lions team, but his job security seems pretty high in the foreseeable future due to the high number of injuries to many of Gold Coast's midfielders.

I'd still hold a week mate. You never know what can happen with selection/injuries/form/etc. At least if you get rookies on the bubble your 95% guaranteed a price rise
