Has Pendles ever been tagged out of a game?

And I don't think Swan being out makes any difference

Think Carrazzo did it 2-3 years ago and Pendles got like 60 odd.. but extremely rare..

Correct, it was 2012 when Carlton started the year on fire. I think after his game last week Curnow will go to Seedsman, Carrots will go to Pendles and Everitt might get the run with role on Swan.

Pendles scores against Carlton:
2014: rnd7 107 + rnd15 131.
2013: rnd2 121 + rnd 15 154.
2012: rnd3 62
2011: rnd3 94 + rnd 17 145.
not a bad average over the past 4 years 116.3... interestingly he has consistently gone bigger the second time they meet in the year

Armfield to Seedsman. Curnow to swan.

If Seedsman plays on the wing no, it will be Curnow or maybe Everitt. The reason I think Everitt goes with Swan is because Swan will go forward at times, Everitt can play off HB and follow him regarldess of where he plays, Curnow won't and it will be a massive mismatch. Dennis will get the most damaging player in the back 6 so it will depends on Collingwoods structures

Still can't believe how many taggers this team has

Most teams just pick one player to target

Carlton just picks all of them

Pretty much. Round 1 we had White following around Dusty and Ellard has also been used as a defensive forward.

Yup

There is no balance between attack and defense

What is interesting is Curnow was actually looking pretty good as an offensive midfielder in his first couple of seasons. He was good at winning clearances in tight and generally used it well. He wasn't the most punishing player by foot, but he was improving. He now focus just on the defensive side of his game, which he excels at, but he isn't using some of the offensive attributes in his game. Until they can start finding a balance and playing attacking footy they will continue to suck.

Attacking footy wins grand finals.

Attacking footy gets you off the bottom

Defence gets you to finals.

But needs to be a balance
