Can afford any DEF... Already got Hodge/Simpson - who should I get? ::)

Theres not to many obvious ones firing at the minute. Smith would be the one id consider right now but even his last two weeks
haven't been great, round 3 i'll concede due to coming back from concussion and last week not to many if any Crow had a decent game. Backs are pretty hard to nail down this year, personally im waiting till the answer becomes an obvious one. Hopefully a few more rounds and we'll get that answer.

I'm waiting for the positional changes before too much upgrading in defence.

Round 6 is that right for positional changes.
Boyd could be the one i jump on first if he gets it.

How about Gibson?

This is actually for DT --> but because that forum is dead, I thought I'd ask for opinions here :P

Hibbard should come good again? Scored decent on weekend and has dropped a bit!

I'm considering turning hunt into Seedsman, Tarrant or Scharenberg if named and then turning Newton into Boyd in the mids this round and move him to the back line when given Def status...the naysayers will say "how do you know he'll be a defender", its a risk yeah, but all signs point to Boyd getting defender status and if not by some wayward chance, he's still being a more consistent mid than most!

I'd avoid Gibson since Frawley is injured and now Lake, key defender lockdown role looming.

Enters shoenmakers ::)

Yeh sorry forgot about Gibson, he's certainly another option. With Lake and Frawley out for a bit may pay to watch him a week maybe two for the 30 trade comps to see if that has any detrimental affect to his scoring although he still scored 117 with Lake going out very early against Port but yes he is one of very few legitimate options and has been one of the few standouts really so far
down back.

I traded in Boyd for Sidebottom after week 1 for this very reason ;)

Supercoachpaige flagging Swan is in moonboot and in doubt on Facebook

Collingwood injury update (28/4) says that he's just got a sore ankle, and that they're very confident of him playing this week (moonboot trying to take weight off ankle)

What are people's thoughts on Dahlhaus? Going along very well but will he keep it up and be a must have for the rest of the year. Looking at his averages for the next 3 games 85,49,76 compared to say someone like Goddard who has 98,58,109 do you think he will keep up the good form???

Dahl's game goes up a level when Libba is missing, was very tempted to start him myself but stuffed that one up to.

Yeah he has hit another level even when they got flogged by the Hawks, I have forward of swan, Martin, the bont, j.martin, Salem Clark, honeychurch, krakouer, Martin has ran his race and I have bulk cash so dunno whether to get him, Goddard or franklin all going along pretty well but whoever I get want it to be a keeper

I don't think Dahl will disappoint you with Libba gone for the year.

Anyone considering Tom Cutler for a massive cash gab in the backline?
