He probably will be suspended however it just comes down to timing. Hopefully he sneaks in some big scores beforehand and can be switched to Sloane generating some cash in the process. Risky for sure but at 445k not such a big risk.

batt

He's $470k at the moment.  If he was closer to Cripps I'd consider the swap.

FactHunt

SJ $470K
Rocky $465K

hhhhhmmmmmmmmmm, let me think.
Oh, wait… there's no need to use my brain, as this IS A NO BRAINER  :P

Or you can get Barlow for another 20K or even Heppell for another $60 odd K and dropping if you already have Rocky.

SJ does not feature this year (IMO) (been wrong plenty of times).

tor01doc

I wonder if he goes one on one with Kelly at training - ouch!  :-[

All good options but if cash is tight he isn't such a bad choice. I'm assuming everyone already has Rocky.

Belegur

Brought him and rock in last week. Already concerned about him, anything could happen. Barlow is a better option if u can afford i think

I got both at bottom dollar 425k SJ & 450k Rocky.....at 470k though id probably look at Barlow for sub 500k and Parker was a steal 3 rounds ago but that ship has sailed. I took SJ to keep pace with overall while Sloane warms the pine and honestly think SJ is a brilliant M9 loopholling option come years end.

Rocky has a POD last week and his 120 helped me to a league win.......Rocky is now nullified by the fact that literally everyone has him.

Yeah, agreed. SJ is good but only as a stop gap or bench loophole

he had a lot of cheap shots in the Swans game and could have easily got suspended. I think he will have a brain explosion and get rubbed out for a couple

Probably, I still think at his price he will make significant money. We all know Stevie has a massive ceiling and should get to 550+ at some stage in the season. He has already played Freo & Carlton (his two bogey teams) and has coming up - West Coast (150 last time), Essendon (114), Port (110), Melbourne (135), Adelaide (116), North (61), Doggies (119), GWS (141) & Bris (145).

With so few rookies I'm looking at other ways to make money, Stevie is unlikely to be this cheap again.

I'm bumping this post again to give people an idea of Stevie J's draw coming up, anything remotely close to these numbers will put him near the top of the tree. For those who picked him up for under 450k, well worth the risk. At 470k, a little bit more competition but still value.

leading Geelong possie getter with 27 for 69 sc what a joke i see he had nearly no tackles clearances ect but surely he deserved an 80 or 90.

Got barely any hard ball and then butchered it when he did have it

lol yeah to end up with 69 he really must have.

In my eyes, the difference between Geelong being an average team and a good team this year will come down to whether or not Selwood and SJ can get back to their best. Both have been underwhelming in terms of SC and team performance. I honestly couldn't pick SJ. He hasn't been anywhere near his best in 2015 and I don't think he's going to suddenly turn it around either.
