5 years. 5 long years I've been doing this and all I've got out of it is a HoF induction, lots of appreciation, some satisfaction, and a bit of fun. Actually, that's not half bad! Now if only someone would pay me... ;)

I'm back again! For those new to the forums, each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will try to give some details of their opponents recent stinginess or generosity (after about Round 3), and I might even look at the weather (if I'm organised). I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week. As per usual, if you have any requests, let me know and I'll see what I can do (no promises).

Rocky's back, Lewis is on fiyah, Anzac Day always provides big scores, and a certain roughie loves the Dees. Read on to see who your captain should be this week!

The thoughts:

Martin
Not that great against the Dees. Will be good but not a captain. Prediction - 105

Cotchin
Also not that great against the Dees. Was more than solid last week and I think he'll keep it up but there are way better. Prediction - 110

Heppell
Heppell was disappointing last week (lofty standards) but still looks the goods this season. He's averaged 113 over his last 3 Anzac Day games and I think he's set for a big one. Meanwhile, the Pies gave up some juicy scores last week and may well do so again. Prediction - 120

Watson
Usually plays well on Anzac Day but will be tagged and that will slow him down. Prediction - 105

Swan
LOVES playing on Anzac Day, has won the medal more than once, and has given a fair share of HUGE scores. Is last week's 144 a sign of things to come? Prediction - 125

Pendlebury
Definitely a solid Anzac Day contributor but "solid" won't cut it when it comes to giving the C. Prediction - 110

Prestia
Dion let me down last week and, until GAJ comes back, he'll get too much attention and more tags. He's good against the Giants, however, so I think this week will be a bit better. Prediction - 105

Barlow
I warned you all that he wouldn't be great last week but I didn't expect something that poor. Expect a big bounce back this week against a team he loves playing. Prediction - 120

Fyfe
Also likes playing the Swans but not as dominant a DT scorer as Barlow. Prediction - 110

Parker
The last two weeks have been awful for those that have Parker. I wouldn't trade him yet! He has a good record against the Dockers so I'm backing him in one last time. Prediction - 105

Ebert
I'm still confident that this guy will keep pumping out tons and his record against the Hawks suggests just that. Prediction - 110

Gray
Robbie Gray SUCKS against Hawthorn. Do not touch! Prediction - 75

Lewis
Until he puts a foot wrong, LOCK HIM IN! Prediction - 130

Hodge
Without a doubt, the best DT Defender in the competition. If you were wise enough to start him, you should seriously consider giving him the C each week. Good record against the Crows but yet to ton up at AO. Prediction - 115

Rockliff
Looked on track for a 130 in Round 1 before a horrific rib/lung injury had him out for 6+ weeks. That was 3 weeks ago and he's already back. I've gotta assume he's healthy and, if you have him still for whatever reason, he's a real captain candidate. Those two poor scores in his last three versus West Coast are "full forward" Rockliff. The year before that? 151. Prediction - 130

Beams
Hands up if you traded out Beams. If, like me, you're an idiot, you'll be kicking yourself even harder this week. Beamer has a really good record against the Eagles and it's likely to continue. Prediction - 120

Selwood
Jelwood should continue to be good at the Cattery against an opponent he has a solid record against. Prediction - 115

Johnson
Stay away from Stevie J until he scores something good. Prediction - 70

Boyd
As long as Boyd keeps playing off the back flank, he'll keep scoring tons. It's as simple as that. Prediction - 110

Sloane
Nothing special against the Bulldogs but his form alone is enough for me to back him in for a good score. Prediction - 115

LAHUG'S ROUGHIE OF THE WEEK!

This is a new segment that I'm bringing in from this week. I'll talk about someone that, partly because of stats and mostly because of gut feeling, I think will go huge this week. It'll usually be somebody that you wouldn't usually give the C to but, if you have him and are feeling brave, might be worth a look.

Ellis
Last 3: 100, 94, 121 (97 avg)
Last 3 against Melbourne: 79, 155, 72 (102 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 94, 121, 80 (98 avg)

That 155 against them in 2013 is at the forefront of my mind. Brandon Ellis has started the season reaonably well and something is screaming at me saying he'll dominate this week. There were a couple of 130s against the Dees last week and I'm looking at Ellis outdoing both of them. Wild Prediction - 145

The verdict:
1.   Lewis (130)
2.   Rockliff (130)
3.   Swan (125)
4.   Heppell (120)
5.   Beams (120)

Requests:

Hartlett - Requested by LF
Last 3: 98, 74, 90 (87 avg)
Last 3 against Hawthorn: 77, 62, 43 (61 avg)
Last 3 at AO: 102, 81, 73 (85 avg)

Definitely a "strange one", as you put it. 0/3 with tons this year. 0/9 with tons against the Hawks. 3/11 tons at AO last year. Definitely not one I would be looking at. Prediction - 70

Sorry about the delay, everyone. Busy busy week. Requests are unlikely to happen at this stage but ask away and I'll see what I can do.

LF

If you get a chance, might seem a strange one but Hamish Hartlett.

Yeah really really tough decision for me, really want to go Swan but I think i'll go the safe option in Lewis, his recent form is too good.
