Swedish Metal 133 DEFEAT Belgian Bashers 126

Not a pretty match but was hotly contested! Bashers just couldn't fire up this round with too many passengers, with a big round to Cripps from the Metal being the difference I think. Ruckmen for both teams cracked the ton as well!

Spanish Stallions 138 DEFEAT Serbian Eagles 127

Serbia had a down week with many not performing and a poor captain selection, which opened the door for the Stallions to swoop and stake a claim to take over Serbia's position at the top team to be cautious of.

Iceland Polar Bears 152 DEFEAT Croatian Crushers 106

Reigning premiers put on a show here against an overmatched Croatia side who were sorely missing Gray and Captain Sloane decided to have an off week. Good team effort by Iceland with the top 3 midfielders carrying the team with big scores.

Russian Roulettes 118 DEFEATED BY Swiss Storm  121

Not the prettiest score line by the Storm would be happy to come away with the win, while Nostradamus would be angry that his bench could not do more, with Aish's HGA of 14 would be disappointing. Nobody in Russia cracked the ton, while the Storm would be loving Dahlhaus' form to open the season.

English Lions 122 DEFEATED BY Hungarian Hippos 128

Holz's able to grab Hippos first win ever in the comp, and if you include the Dinos, first in a long time. Goldstein being brought over was a masterstroke by Holz and worth those compensation picks, and Isaac Smith's 151 also gave them a huge boost. Armitage only player in the Lions lineup to crack the ton while Riska on the bench waiting to pounce, but overall JB would be disappointed in the performance of his players this round.

Svalbard Valkyries 126 DEFEATED BY Greek Titans 134

Besides their backline, Titans had contributors from all around the field, with Longer, Scully and Devon Smith leading the way. Svaldvard had a pretty unlucky week, with both Stevie J and Kelly starting with the green vest and McDonald a late out, but had solid cover for them. Shame Ward and Adams had to do too much and were unable to lift them to victory.

Macedonia would be happy with this percentage booster, Stanton and Shiel anchoring the midfield. But it was their backline who gave the team the boost it needed, with Duryea and Gibson combining for 239 points! Everitt's ton, Grundy and Dunstan only shining lights for Belarus, who are sorely in need of their usual captain Rocky to pick things up.
