Have Hamling on the bench in the mid and Lamb on the bench in the fwd .

Was thinking Hamling for Krakauer (ave 86) and Lamb for Tarrent (ave 107) both Tarrent and Krakauer have inly played the one match .
Do you think they will play the next 2 to 4 consecutive matches
I'd wait on both mate. Wait until you can get a rookie on the bubble. Who knows, Krak/Tarrant might get dropped after two games
I understand this, but if you purely want some cash generation for other trades, is it ok to trade a week early anyway?

I think the point is that if you go a week early you gain nothing... the only time I would be tempted to go a week early on a rookie is if I knew I would already have 2 trades to make the following week. But if you trade Krak in now, you gain nothing this week, you've paid your trade to bring him in, if he's then dropped then you've burned a trade for literally nothing. At least if you wait for the bubble, even if they get dropped after their 3rd game you've made something, even if only a tiny amount...

enter scenario 1:
I have no cover up forward, including Lamb on my bench (arguably a must go now). I can get the Bont in this week for Lamb if I trade say Newton for Krak...
The Bont coming in provides me with instant cover & either an M6 keeper, or a stepping stone for Rocky in a couple of weeks time.

do I:
a) carry out the trade with peace of mind that I have cover up fwd & a potential keeper/stepping stone to keeper. OR
b) hold off on the trade, hope I don't need cover, and miss out on the trade next week because the Bont's price is now $50K more? to ensure that Krak will play a 3rd week... & I have 2 other good mid bench rooks who are playing.

jumbo

It's like buying insurance really isn't it....

If you want peace of mind and cover then buy it!

If you want to hold onto your hard earned trades, then don't..

Isn't Newton likely o go up a similar amount?  You won't lose anything by waiting IMO
