SWANS champ Adam Goodes will not be flying to Perth with teammates this afternoon for Sydney’s Anzac Day blockbuster against Fremantle, instead spending at least another week in the Swans reserves.

Coach John Longmire confirmed the dual Brownlow medallist would play in the NEAFL this weekend.

“He’s not playing in Perth this week,” Longmire told the Daily Telegraph.

“We didn’t discuss specifically how long he would play reserves, we just wanted to be sure he was in good stead. He had a good hit-out last week and he’ll have a good one this week.

“He will get another opportunity to work on form and fitness.”
