The Anzac Day king Swanny is currently not n my team. Is it worth getting him in for Griffen?

no.

try to get rid of one rookie for a cheaper one and turf another for swan.

:)

Hopefully the last two trades until just before the byes.  Still on target for my projected trade targets of  15 trades completed until Rd. 14.  9 Prior to byes,  6 over the byes,  and 15 to finish up with. But have stuffed a couple up but still have a small chance of redeeming myself.
This week     OUT    B Newton     R Griffin
                  IN       R Sloane      D Swan
Could keep Newton and trade Rich for Selwood J.  Which way ??
Swan will go forward later on.  Now have a midfield of :- Sloane,  Fyfe,  Pendlebury,  Swan,  Prestia,  Rich,  Heeney.,  Vanderberg,  Cripps P,  EYC,  and T Miller.  Any thoughts on the trades for this week. Cheers.     :-\ :o :) ;)
Neither. Newton still has money to make, projected to hit about $300k in 3 weeks, only takes 1 above ave score to speed that up. Griffin could just as easily out score all your trade in options this week. I started him assuming it would take a about a month of footy for him to gel with the team, and also for others to take the tag of him as they explode... Who knows, maybe it won't happen, but I think he is sure to get a run on at some stage, and with his ceiling could prove to be very handy around the bye rounds. Just my opinion, and I'm off to a stinker this year too...

Having another look at my situation if I trade Newton to Krakouer I will have the cash to go Lonie to any premo except Roughy or Boomer or Brown in my defence to any premo

So I have 4 options.

1) Newton to Krakouer and Brown to B.Smith
2) Newton to Krakouer and Lonie to Buddy
3) Newton to Krakouer and Brown or lonie to any suggestions?
4) Hold

What should I be looking at?

Would not trade Krakouer till he is at least going to get one price rise

If ya going for league win or cash league, I would wait. Newton hasn't mooed yet, still dollars to be made, & gives you another week to look at Krak.

If ya going for overall, I don't think that this is a bad move-
You need to get premos in ASAP & I reckon Krak's JS isnt too bad, s long as you have other cover too. You don't want cash sitting around too long not working for you. Bsmith is a must imo, Brown out for him is fine.

If weighing up between forward and back, have a look at a few things:
1. what is the BE for the guy you're looking at?
2. what is their draw like over the next few weeks?
3. do they fit your bye structure?
4. is there an area (fwd or def) that you are struggling for cover in?

Because even if you think that they are a must for the year, you can definitely have a better purchase right now situation!

Wait for the bubble. Get another price rise out of newton at the very least.

I'm going for overall, and I am leaning towards holding but Brodie Smith should be a top 6 defender, has an excellent draw and fits my bye structure perfectly.

Buddy's bye is round 12 but my forwards in the main have the round 13 bye so again it suits. He is a must have come seasons end as well from what I have seen in Rounds 1-3

I agree with Shaker and JB though, we dunno whether Krak will last longer than this week. Better to have another look at him and re-assess come next week.

A talent like Newton, surely can score an 80 yet before you trade him?

Only if he's made the SUB again would you trade him!

Because of the midfield rookies I have he has the worst BE. In fact the only rookie in my mid without a negative BE. As I said before though I am likely to hold.

I'm waiting, either of those two would be decent replacements for McGrath.

Have come up with an outside the square trade idea and would like opinions.

Newnes and Newton out for Oxley and any premo mid.
Would theoretically weaken backs considering I picked Newnes as a keeper and leaves me with Shaw, Gibson, Lumumba, Oxley, Saad, McIntosh(Brown, Goodes). Obviously need them all to play each week which is risky.
But with JPK or Jobe there would be 20 to 40 extra points each week.
JPK would leave me with only $41,600 in the bank. Little less if I traded Brayshaw instead of Newton but I think he is a far better player, just being used as sub.

Most likely won't do it but wanted to put it out there.

Don't think either of those guys need to go, probably a waste of 2 trades for little gain.
