Have come up with an outside the square trade idea and would like opinions.

Newnes and Newton out for Oxley and any premo mid.
Would theoretically weaken mids considering I picked Newnes as a keeper and leaves me with Shaw, Gibson, Lumumba, Oxley, Saad, McIntosh(Brown, Goodes). Obviously need them all to play each week which is risky.
But with JPK or Jobe there would be 20 to 40 extra points each week.
JPK would leave me with only $41,600 in the bank. Little less if I traded Brayshaw instead of Newton but I think he is a far better player, just being used as sub.

Most likely won't do it but wanted to put it out there.

Don't think either of those guys need to go, probably a waste of 2 trades for little gain.

i reckon a massive waste of 2 trades

I'd just go Goodes > Oxley

Yeah that has been the plan, just playing around with the reverse trades button.
Then can bring in Krak next week and see what that allows without trading Newnes. Hopefully he lifts his DE.
Want to bring in another super premo soon and JPK may drop in price a little so will look to bring him in at the right moment.

Got a bunch of cash on the bench from the Ablett trade last week but most of my rookies are performing well.  at the moment im thinking of J.Anderson to Sloane and K Kolo to Brodie smith.  not sure if maybe i should move Lamb on now hes out for a while.

Lamb need to go if you have him,he is out for 8 weeks

Is it worth waiting another week to get another look at guys like Krak and Tarrant
Yeh I'm keeping for now. No real decent fwd line options atm.

What are peoples thoughts with Griffen? Under achieved so far! Just cant see him scoring big numbers in this GWS Midfield.

Do we trade him? i was thinking Griffen - Bont take the cash and run, or is this seen as a panic trade?

Griff was always going to be a rollercoaster.  Wait for the 150+ scores,  they will come and bump his ave up.

Yeah you can. But as soon as lockout begins you can no longer reverse any trades, even if they were made before lockout.

If Goodes isn't named, I can hold him this week and assess Ciaran Byrne for a trade in next week. I'll have enough cash then over the next 4-5 weeks to get Parker when he bottoms out and Brodie Smith through an upgrade of Saad, Ox or KMac.

Otherwise I'll just go Goodes to Smith and maybe miss out on Parker.

I guess if Goodes is names, I could go a week early on Byrne's if his JS is good enough. Can a Carlton supporter or anybody give me an insight into his job security?

Probably not good given he's just done his hamstring at training today and likely to miss 3 weeks!
